Oona appears on the network, around 10 books scattered around her. From the looks of the covers, they're all very trashy ridiculous romance novels. Oona sits on the floor in the middle of them, one in her hand and opened somewhere in the middle, but her expression is a bit disappointed and exasperated]

Human books are so strange! Like stories and such-- really like romance. There is so many! But so weird. Want to read romance, but keep talking about gardens!

[Wait what.

She looks disappointedly at the book again and sighs deeply.] Where did she get flowers from, so sudden? Why is he stroking 'quivering flower petals'? [UH] Or rubbing buds? [oona wait--]

And! Man keeps suddenly having hard swords? They stab, but girls like? So weird! Is all such nonsense! [ooNA NO.

She tosses the book none-too-gently over her shoulder and rests her elbow on her knee, chin in hand, pouting.]

Tell me better stories.

[She thinks about it for a moment before it seems to click. Oh.] Oh.

[WELP. She stares at the books surrounding her, baffled] Eh. Suppose... [Like. She... Kinda can get why that might be appealing, but also--] It is not just... confusing?

[A new face! A new pretty face! Oona perks up some, but laughs in agreement at his words]

So strange! So far, the only things have not had to complain too much about is their food! Ah, well, some of it.

[What the hell that sounds so much easier and more fun! Oona perks up, looking pleased and nods along.]

Mm! Sounds much better! Have those here? Have you read some? Tell me which to look for! [GIve her your cheesy shoujo recs, komaeda]

[She's not even looking at the video when he responds, instead flipping through the book with a concentrated frown as she thinks about it. She can...sort of understand when it's put that way, thinking hard about the comparison. It's... apt enough, she supposes.

But she shakes her head at the question] No. Would be better with pictures! Less weird and confus--

[She glances up then and looks baffled] Moran? Ah-- No... [No, definitely not Moran, but he's just as pretty as Moran, and isn't that what matters??] Who?

Ah, I have read them, hopefully there should be some in the library, though I'm not entirely sure. I haven't actually looked for any since arriving here.

[He had focused on local novels and reference books.]

But... I guess a shoujo or josei romance would be what you want.

[He has to pause and think a bit.]

Maybe The Window of Orpheus?

[Or just heart crushing clsssics.]

[A pretty face with nice looking nails! His smile quirks up and he nods.]

Oh man, they do have so many good food! They're usually pretty good at making things with their hands, so I can almost forgive them for being strange.

[After all, he exists!]

Did anyone tell you what's up with those stories yet?

There is some appeal in it, or they would not be so popular.

Maybe I'll try to see if I see any good ones at the library. Although the language might be flowery too, just... differently.

I suppose it would be, for someone new to it...you'll likely get used to such language though, if you continue reading those books. And strange though it may be, there are only so many comparisons a person can make - once you've seen enough of them, it's easy enough to understand the rest.

[She pauses at the question. Hmmm.]

War stories, mostly. Both fiction and nonfiction. Can relate to those more. Found some philosophy books to be therapeutic as well, depending on the author...

Almost. [It doesn't totally negate everything else about them, but yeah.

She sighs deeply and nods] Yes, know now. [What kind of stories these were and all, she means] So annoying... Just wanted love story. Not that kind of love story.

Not that it is not also good, but... [Just wasn't what she wanted, you know??]

What other things do humans make that you like? [Oona's curious, since Kashuu brought it up]

[She can't see how reading about something like that could be fun, but who knows! If anyone could make war seem more entertaining and less a nightmare, she's sure humans would.]

[She doesn't know what half of those words mean, but she nods slowly as she commits them to memory. 'Shoujo or josei romance.' and 'Window of Orpheus.'] Ah, okay. Will look.

[She tilts her head curiously.] What is that one about?

[Oona is quiet for like 5 seconds before her expression turns sly and she rests her chin in her hand, smiling at him. Her tone is teasing]

And have you? Seen enough of them.

Suppose that is true... [She still seems skeptical though, eyeing the books.

There's an easy grin] If Moran says it is good, then I will read anything! [Which makes her think of another question she's curious to ask] What do you like to read?

I think it was about a cross dressing girl who attends a catholic boys school in France at the turn of the twentieth century and a love triangle that is destined to end in tragedy. The author is well known for a series called Rose of Versailles which is also about another cross dressing girl and the queen of France.

They're both pretty old, I'm not really that good at keeping up with manga outside what might catch my eye while at a bookstore or at the library.

Don't know. Can relate to it better, maybe. More so than romance shit, anyway.

Not always...though I do have more free time here than I'd like.

They should add labels or something for them.

[Except erotica do have labels?! Eh, anyway.]

Other things I like? Obviously, it's their clothes! A lot of them have very good sense of style and use it to make so many cute things to wear!

[Among other things, but human fashion is something he likes observing and wearing.]

[Slap some AO3-style tags on them. 'No beta we die like men.'

She listens with curiosity, but immediately makes a face when he mentions clothes] Eugh... Clothes? Like clothes? Why? They are so... [She makes a vague hand gesture and shakes her head]

Is not comfortable! But so many like it. So weird...

[She can't help but laugh at him, grinning lightly.]

Chuchu, so grumpy! Is it so bad?

Hmmmm... a little bit of everything. Poetry is a favorite to relax, and I really enjoy the Shi Jing. Although ancient classical texts are always good to go back to when in need. The Rites of Zhou and the Spring and Autumn Annals are excellent, and the Analects of Confucius are of course a must read....

[You might want to interrupt him, Oona, or he'll never stop.]
