I am seeking a blade for defensive purposes. Small knives won't do; I wish to acquire a sword or an arakh, though I doubt anyone has heard of the latter.

(The Dothraki arakh is a special and deadly weapon. She has watched her Dothraki in battle enough to know the basics of using one.)

Guns have been introduced to me, however I am not comfortable with them nor do I trust my aim.

(She had been hoping Drogon would begin to grow, but he remains unchanged. That means she needs to strengthen herself to protect them.)

Could get a larger survival or combat knife. Easy to keep on your person and I promise you, deadly in the right hands.
If you'd like to learn to shoot, though, I teach.
Small arms, larger, automatic, semi-auto. Rifles, machine pistols, AR, handguns...
I also make grenades, but I don't think it'll be too useful outside of when we're sent outside the city.

Are you in immediate danger?

I would need to see the size of those knives. I am accustomed to swords and daggers. (But she has no desire to possess a dagger.)

Where could I practice? I wouldn't mind learning. I heard they are far more powerful than arrows.

(Cannon fire might be a more appropriate comparison.)

No, but I have someone dear to me.

I have one about twelve inches and it's seen me through some rough fights. You can go a little bigger or smaller. Sometimes smaller -- not too small -- is better. Easier to work with speed over strength (or speed and strength). Bigger ones like kukri aren't as fast.

The beach or forest seems to work. And they are. They can pierce flesh much easier and if you want something that pierces armor/bone/things more rough I'd suggest an assault rifle. They're more cumbersome for first-timers, but I have an array at my disposal I'd be happy to let you try.

I made my own blade. With the right material, it would be no trouble to help with yours.

I would like to know best what style works for you, as well as your stature. Do you know your own preferences?

The right sword is incredibly important, not just the materials but the style and everything that comes with it.

I could take you to the place where I bought my swords. I brought an experienced swordsman with me when I went shopping to get his opinion on the craftsmanship before I bought them. You would probably be able to find something suitable for you there.

You're right. I don't want it to be too small or it won't serve any purpose beyond cutlery.

I will try them if you are willing. I did not know someone was so well-equipped.

Yes, I would like to meet this craftsman and hear your opinion as well. (If she can wield the blade and it doesn't break, it will do. She can learn more of what she likes over time.)

There are, yes. Very powerful and distinguished ones. My teacher is a woman, and I have never seen her skills matched by anyone.

It's the right weapon for you if something about it speaks to you. Not literally speaks, but...you feel a connection to it. It feels like it belongs in your hand. If that makes sense.

It would be far from my first dragon to encounter. Not to say I would disrespect them, of course. Perhaps just a brief meeting outside, to ensure that he doesn't think I'm too far into his territory?

Kukri are curved short swords. I don't have any but I don't think they'd be too hard to get my hands on.

Maybe you can show me how that is possible? (She is imagining deadly aim and a lot of power.) The Kukri sounds like the Dothraki Arakh. They use the curve to take an opponent's weapon from them, behead an enemy or leave him bleeding excessively.

(Seeing the Dothraki fight is actually like watching a violent dance.)

They are in many cases one and the same. But in my world corpses who are not given proper rest are easily stirred up by resentful energy, they bring about a lot of evil and must be put down for the sake of people.

I think you'll know the right name once you have the weapon that feels best for you in hand.

[She's right that Caim has absolutely no information on whatever an arakh would be, which is surprising because he considers his knowledge on weaponry to be rather vast and, at times, impressive. He makes a note to do some research on this later.

But to be fair, Caim doesn't really know much about guns aside from what little Sen has informed him of. Swords really are where it's at. But that being said...]

I would not suggest any of the merchant wares in Lunatia. I have heard of an engineer and smithy who resides here, however. Seek him out and he may be able to prepare you with what you desire.

[Ignoring the idea that Caim doesn't believe women should be wielding swords. Or guns. Or anything.]

Could you give me his name if you recall it?

(Or a physical description. Lunatia isn't a small town and there could be more than one smithy. Daenerys isn't an expert on weaponry, but she doesn't want to have shoddy work defending Drogon and herself.)

I have many to choose from if I want one that is distinctly Targaryen. Drogon won't like it being named after another dragon, I think.

If life is restored fully they're no longer a corpse.

The Night King woke them with magic, yes. He killed them and then brought them back as his servants.
