It has been brought to my attention that some among us are concerned that the dead and undead may be a grave threat to those who reside in this city. [ He's a brat so he sure did link that article. ] Since that is the case, I thought I would propose a truly terrifying event that will strike fear in the hearts of all who live here.

[ INSERT DRAMATIC PAUSE HERE ]

A potluck.

[ A potluck, Archer?? ]

For those of you unfamiliar with the custom, it involves bringing your own favorite dish to a gathering and everyone sampling the food provided.

If you are dead, undead, or of supernatural origins, and would be interested in such a thing, let me know, and I'll be more than happy to organize it.

Under ordinary circumstances, it might be surprising. In a place like this, however, with a concentration of individuals from other worlds, it isn't so unusual.

I suppose there are a lot more dead than living in any given world, if we count the people who were just revived here and not in their own worlds. Are we counting them?

Since the assertion was that death is simply permanent with no room for in-between, I see no reason to exclude them.

Apparently ghosts don't count, though. I'm not sure her definitions make any sense no matter how you interpret them.

Death and undeath are separate concepts; it's the magic involved in becoming undead that she objects to, more than likely.

As I see it, if someone is here and doing no harm, there isn't a point in dragging them through the mud.

Though we are summoned by magecraft rather than alchemy, we are also ghosts in the technical sense of the term.
