I had never given much thought to sexual intimacy before I arrived here.

[The soft, sonorous thrum of Zenyatta's voice comes drifting across the network like a cloud on the wind, punctuated haphazardly by the faintest of chimes as his orbs circle, unseen. His tone is carefully neutral, curious and undemanding, as he continues.]

When my omnic brothers and sisters liberated ourselves, some among us chose to forsake such human forms of sexual gratification as symbolic of our subservience; our bodies were built for the use of humans, and our ability to feel physical pleasure merely a supplement to human pleasure. To use them as free, sentient beings was to agree that we were little more than shallow imitations of our creators.

I had not considered my own path at all, until now- and, for my ignorance, it is all I can think about for a few days each month!

[Wryly amused for a second there before he continues. If he is being perfectly honest there is one person in particular who is driving him to distraction, but... he hums.]

I believe I would like to try it for myself, under the right circumstances, yet I find myself-- quite unsure. Would any of you be so kind as to share your own first experiences? [brightly:] "Virginity" is merely a social construct, of course, but I am sure each of you has a story you might care to tell!

Ah. Human in the sense of 'thinking entity', that's fair.

It sucks that they didn't even give a thought to your enjoyment. Any way to fix that?

Perhaps I am still not being clear! I would be the last person to make such a definition, ha ha! v(_:::_ ) I am referring rather to the "human" style of sexual intercourse, which itself is at its most raw basics a means of reproduction, and thus a fundamentally biological act.

Enjoyment implies desire, which is not necessarily a desirable trait when one is designing a cheap, obedient and efficient workforce. But society has changed a great deal in the time since my creation, at least- we are largely sentient, and capable of making decisions about our bodies for ourselves, circumstances allowing.

I'm not so sure about that, honestly. It's true that reproduction's a notable byproduct of it- but most biological species aren't actually that good at reproduction. How many attempts does a couple trying to conceive go through, without the assistance of magic or whatever, to get what they want? Even if they're paying attention to the things they should, it can take a lot.

I think that, honestly, it's more intended as a means of forging and strengthening bonds between people. And even if the gods intended it to be a means of reproduction only and everything else is just so much window dressing-

Certainly! All of this is very true. Yet omnic bodies were not created by chance, but with the primary assumption that they would be used by humans. Additionally, the kind of penetrative sexual intercourse performed by humans, even for that purpose, is entirely unnecessary for omnics, particularly when the less humanoid among us were not created with the capacity for it at all; we have many of our own, specific forms of interfacing that instill a sense of intimacy and express love, or even induce physical pleasure.

As such, some of my kind see their anatomy as a form of oppression. I am not among them myself, but I can certainly sympathise with their position. It has not been easy.

I can see how they'd feel it was oppressive when it was forced on them. I'm... guessing there's probably people who'd try to take the choice away from you, as well
