[Under normal conditions, Zen wouldn't bother resorting to the network for this kind of question, often preferring to investigate on his own. But growing impatience pushes him to do this, in a way he assumes will yield quick answers.

When the audio starts, there's a distinctive sound of a lighter, followed by an exhalation. Smokers, and those who have been around one for long enough to recognize this combination of sounds will easily be able to infer that he is, in fact, smoking.]

I guess this has been asked countless and countless of times, so what's one more time, right?

[A small pause as he takes another drag, breathing the smoke out more softly this time. Despite the sharp wording, his tone is somehow controlled.]

Anyone know of a way to stop whatever this moon's doing that's getting on my nerves?

[Because it's hard not to make the connection between the sanguine moon up in the sky and the maddening restlessness.]

[If this were a video, Don would've seen the split second Zen's eyes widened, and his cigarette almost dropped from his lips. Now, this cute monster is a surprise.

He snorts a laugh. That looks like something Zen would love to try his luck at hunting. Even if the thought excites him, he's not enough of a madman to throw himself into danger like that... for now, at least.]

[He wants to retort what sounds like words of comfort with a snide comeback, but instead what comes is another short silence followed by the sound of him exhaling.]

[It's not like him to be optimistic, but part of him wonders if it just hasn't been found yet.]

[Buried deep beneath his debonair and suave exterior Don Draper is a coward. That's why Sanguis chose him - to see what a coward does with true confidence in it's mind.

Only way I can think's to get away from the moons' light all together, as'n being sent back to the star you came from. The Prismals've no interest in finding any other way and if there are other Moonblessed looking...

[ He starts to shrug but, oh yeah, his camera isn't on. ]

[Sorry Don, Zen has seen other equally menacing creature-turned people up close before. If anything, the reaction instigates him to do as challenged.]

No idea exactly which part you mean, but I can say it all as many times as you want. Is it the part about your brain becoming completely useless or the part that I asked if you're stupid? [Wait.]

You can't stop it. There's things you can do to help, and sometimes moons will pass where you won't feel anything at all. But so far, there doesn't seem to be anything to stop it completely.

[All of a sudden, the idea of going back home doesn't sound so bad. Zen knows it's easier said than done, anyway.]

So it's either find some stranger to get it on with or go crazy. Great.

[Looks like he'll have to find something (dangerously) exciting to do to let off some steam. He'll keep the other option in mind for when he finds likely candidates.]

[Short and straight to the point. Exactly the kind of answer he was hoping for, while not quite what he wished to hear. It's almost ironic to hear it from a woman.]

[It's a genuine question. Don has never had to curb his impulses beyond a desire not to be found but but here and now - well - fuck that..

[ Rey isn't a great conversationalist. She's gotten better over the past year, being surrounded by people who chatter endlessly, but even then, she's often more comfortable listening. So directness is how she prefers to communicate.

[Feeling himself a lot more irritable than usual, Zen can almost relate to the man's plight. But damn, the way the guy's blaming the moon is just pitiful.]

[Zen almost sounds relieved. It would be awkward to talk with this woman, who sounds so serious and earnest in trying to help him, about intimate acts with others. Which is a concept he's not... really interested in indulging or talking about.

Smoking also helps put him a bit more at ease. What he hasn't figured out yet is a good way to deal with the more violent and carnal urges.]

You only said it helps calm the restlessness. Any idea if it helps relieve any impulsive urges, too?

He has problems with that even without the moon. But I think it helps him with that, too.

[Because he certainly never wished to be sent to another world — even if his was in ruins. Especially not when he was trying to avoid having his past literally put on display for his "friends" back home. The mere thought of not knowing what happened after he was sent here is enough to worsen his mood.]

The point is, everyone here is a stranger to me. And there's intimacy involved in making chroma, right?

[He's inferring that from experience (some of which were not so quite pleasant). And perhaps he's sounding a little more exasperated than he'd like.]
