We rap both for sport, and to resolve conflict. You aren't wrong in harboring those mixed feelings. There are certainly times battle can be fun for us, and other times where it isn't. It's become a means of entertainment for a lot of the masses of our home world, so while we are battling for victory, the battles between divisions as of late have been formally conducted for the public to spectate and cheer. Those battles are accommodated.
As it stands, the battles we face against other MC's as opposed to the battle we were facing against our government itself are two separate conversations, the latter being far more unpleasant than the former. No one is making us use the microphones (to my knowledge), but we choose to in spite of that because if we don't take action, societal change cannot happen.
