Nah, the name is actually something of a misnomer.

I guess the better way to describe it would be "corruption", but in essence it's a certain... well, magic I guess is the way to describe it, quality the world has.

It has less to do with the character of a man's heart than it does negative emotions, of a denial of reality. We can't generate it ourselves, though, but it does still cause terrible things to happen to my kind. To everything, really.
