I can see how that's a large concern, even for those of us used to dealing with such monsters. Figuring out how to fend off most common forms of monsters and other naturally occurring animals wouldn't be a bad idea to include.
I will keep that in mind, if-and-when we have need of such expertise. If we can find a few more masters of magical arts, we might stand a better chance.
