Most people here seem to offer themselves up for casual moonlacing though, but handholding and pats on the head only offer a small bit of it at a time.

I would not have used precisely that term, but I agree.  While there are no doubt those who would be content to remain here, it is not true of all those currently present.  Thus, it would be... useful to have that knowledge.  Even should it prove that there is no research currently being done in regards to that question.
