[ Taichi yelps and reaches for his back side with both hands to sooth his tail. ]

[ he scoffs, unable to stay mad at taichi because he is just... a puppy... not just because of the current ears and tail situation, but it was the same back home, too. sighs. ]

Whatever. Just... be careful, I guess? With me, and with yourself.

I promise I won't eat you either, Ban-chan.

[ But he is.. going to reach out and tug Banri's tail in revenge, his tail wagging now playfully as he immediately leaps off the couch after to avoid immediate repercussions. ]

[ before he can even answer (not that was going to say anything more compelling than “gee, thanks”), his tail is tugged, making him yelp and reach for taichi immediately, who is out of range just in time. ]

Hey! Don't run away like a coward!

[ ugh!!! holds his tail... the surprise hurt more than the actual tug, but still. betrayal. ]

[ He just goes behind the couch to lean over the back with a grin. or on the side of it if it's against a wall ]

It's revenge!

[ behind is fine, not much thought has gone into the layout...

banri growls at him, twisting his body to take a better look at taichi, but eventually just... sighs and settles back down. when he first came, he took this pretty well himself, but with time it got a little tough living on his own, so he at least wants taichi to not go through that. ]

Fine, I won't eat you. Let's just get you settled properly, yeah?

[ Right now, Taichi's still in the adjustment stage where everything's going so fast and confusing that it's all barely sunk in. Banri being here has really helped too; he doesn't know what he'd do if he was all on his own. He relaxes when Banri doesn't chase him and leans over the back of the couch, nodding in agreement. ]

Do you have a job here?

[ what a question... but valid, he supposes. he waves a dismissive hand at it anyway. he's not making a single move to chase or scare taichi away anymore. they just held hands while walking home, that should be enough humiliation for the both of them for one afternoon, there's no need to add "playing tag" to that bundle. ]

Sort of. I play games online for money sometimes, and sometimes I do part-time jobs at the corner store down the street.

[ oh, wait. he straightens up a little, turning his head back to look at him again. ]

Are you already planning to look for a job? That's pretty responsible of you. I'm kind of proud!

[ Taichi's tail stops wagging when Banri doesn't chase him. Taichi finds he has a lot of energy and wants to exert himself physically during Sanguis, so he's a little disappointed Banri doesn't chase him, but the topic turns from just Banri sharing his job to Taichi being responsible and he doesn't think that's exactly it. ]

Well it's more like... I've been in a motel for a while and that food bag was all I could really afford. I love junk food but after so long...

[ He needs to be able to afford normal human food, he's nutrient deprived!! Like it takes him way too long to make fried rice.. but he'll figure it out if he can afford real food! He needs a vegetable in his life. ]

There probably aren't going to be too many people who want to moonlace with me, so I have to make demichroma!

[ But he doesn't really want to focus on that so he brings it back to asking Banri about his life. ]

[ the topic randomly moving on to moonlacing makes banri's eyebrow twitch, but thankfully taichi doesn't stick to it; there's only so much reassurance banri can give him about it without making it weird, after all. ]

Man, your motel life sounds so sad. Stop bringing it up, I feel bad I didn't pick you up earlier.

[ but it does make him stand up and stretch. maybe it's time to feed this sad, sad dog. ]

I don't really stream, it's competitive gaming. But sure, you can watch. For now, we need to cook you some real food, right?

Sorry. Omi-kun used to do all the cooking and cleaning and give me advice and listen to my problems.

[ His life organizer is gone banri, taichi is a mess ;o; If he gets enough money he can afford to pay someone to make him food and clean... right... look he can only be partially responsible, having a job is the best he can do right now.
