[ on the morning of the 14th, everyone’s feeds get to enjoy what appears to be a somber-looking video of a somber-looking man. his shoulders are hunched, his eyes downcast, and one might wonder why he’s making a video if he’s going to look this sad while doing it. don’t worry about it. ]

[ he falters. he should have planned this out a little better. ]

I’m sorry to bring them up again, but what was said about the Oracles of the Sinless has been weighing on my mind. One of those members mentioned wanting to “reset” the world…

[ a new game+, as tarn put it. ]

My world is… I… [ although he can't finish his thoughts, it doesn't sound like he's getting emotional. his voice is quiet, but even-toned. ] It’s been destroyed. Most people are dead, and those that aren’t are… unwell. And when I think about that, the idea of resetting the world doesn’t seem wrong.

[ he seems to realize that he’s dangerously close to spreading cult propaganda, and he looks up at the camera with the first fluctuation of emotion—from a kind of downtrodden pensiveness to concern. ]

But I don’t think it seems right, either. I don’t know. [ he glances away from the camera once again. ] The Sinless must be scared. They don’t want the world to get worse. Our arrival here… it makes beautiful things, but maybe…

…um. I wanted to know what everyone else thinks.

Do not stop yourself from considering them, but do not become mired in them either.
Accept the feelings that come from them.
Only then can you make peace with the duality of what you are and what you feel.
This is something I do believe I have experience of.

The feelings that come from them are fear. Pain. I just don’t know how I can make peace with those things. I’m trying to figure it out anyway.

Even if I can’t ever feel like I’ve done the right thing, I want the people I did it for to be happy. I wonder if that’s OK. Being happy with something that could be better.

My family is a sad one.
Millions of my siblings were left to molder in the darkness.
My Mother could not abide what She had done, and receded.
My Father tried to remain stalwart, but in the end, His choices broke His heart.
And yet here I was able to find happiness with my sibling who is here, and our sister, who came here for a time.
It could have been all of us, together, no recession, no broken hearts, no withering in the dark.
Yet what we made of what chance we were given is good.
I would say that it is 'OK' to be happy with something that could be better.

[ dextera reads the hollow knight’s words over a few times, and then he reads them again slowly, line by line, word by word. again, he’s struck with the feeling that they’re more similar than two entities should be for what completely different worlds they come from, but it isn’t a bad thing—just odd, for someone like him who has maintained there’s only one other person like him in the world. ]

My family is a sad one, too. But if my brother were here, I think I would feel OK again. It’s just hard to be alone, even when I’m surrounded by friends here. Or maybe it’s especially because there are so many people here who don’t know what I’ve done.

I enjoy spending time in Greatmoon Groves.
Lately, I have come to appreciate Crystal Beach, also.
You may also come to my place of rest, though please let me know in advance.
I do not keep many creature comforts, and as such, would like to know when to get some so as not to be a poor host.

I like both of those places too. Crystal Beach is nice this time of year. If there’s nothing else I can be grateful for, I am thankful I can share the view of its sunset with my friends.
