[When Hijikata woke up on the 1st of the month he had a familiar simple pair of horns on his head. He still clung to the hope that he might just get different dragon traits this time around, but his pissy mood, the red moon that night, and his transformed ears and added tail the next morning made it clear that he got cattle traits again. It feels like a huge downgrade, and he's frustrated. But if there's a hidden logic behind this he wants to find out.]

Does anyone know what conditions need to be met for someone to get permanently exalted?

Has anyone been exalted and then gone back to unexalted? What did you do differently in the month before each change?

[He's keeping his post really curt since he's disgruntled. He could easily think of something he did differently in the past two months, but he needs to compare his experiences to those of others.]

I was a dragon one month, and a sheep the next. Though, before I was a sheep, I did return home briefly. I don't think that matters, though, because this month I'm back to wolf.

It might just be like throwing darts and seeing what sticks.

I am uncertain if there are conditions to acquiring such traits permanently.
Though I have been here for many months, my blessing has neither changed nor shifting, yet others who arrive
have had theirs shift in as little as two months.

It may be something only the Prismal gods can answer.

Of course Sougo didn't tell Hijikata whom he catfished with that rotten fake profile, and he also didn't deliver the generously donated mayonnaise yet (once he does it'll have been poisoned or otherwise tampered with, no doubt). So Hijikata has no idea who Lucio is, otherwise he'd be scrambling to restore his reputation never mind that it's only halfway better than what Sougo made it out to be.]

That's what happened to me (the latter). I was a bull, which sucked, then became a dragon, which was great, and now I'm a bull again. I want to see if did something to cause this, but so far everyone's replies seem to indicate that it's random.

I don't care about what I look like so much (if anything the wings and tall horns and big tail were cumbersome). It's about how much calmer I felt last month. Now I'm just ready to get in a fight with someone.

oh. i guess you're right. it is kind of frustrating how I really just want to punch someone sometimes, even though i'm just kind of learning the basics of that much.

i wish i could help you out with that much, but there's a lot of other people around that might be a better match for your fighting skills?

I have a couple of good sparring partners, but what about you? You need to get it out of your system somehow, too. If you don't have anyone we can perhaps meet up and just run along the coast together or something.

[Sure, that won't help the fighting impulse, but it'll get them exhausted if nothing else.]

Is it truly unpleasant being a bull? There is a rich and eclectic race in my home world known as "draphs." Their form is very much bovine-inspired, and they command great power and fighting ability. I am told they are also quite popular among both all sexes as romantic partners.

I've never seen a draph, but I believe you. It's not the appearance that I dislike, and I don't feel like others dislike it either, it's the mood it puts me in. I assume you're not a Sanguis? Many of us struggle with aggressive energy. When I got exalted last month it was completely different and I felt much better, that's why I want to get back to that.

i have a couple of people teaching me things, but i guess that doesn't really stave off those kinds of feelings too well.

[Maybe she'd just go get in her Octopus suit and see what kind of thugs she could beat to a pulp in the seedier areas around town. However, she was still on the fence about that, with all the chroma the suit drained. It was so frustrating living as a Sanguis when she thought that maybe her inner desire for violence might die down with regaining some of her sanity, but it seemed like fate was going to be at least a little cruel to her here.

Still, his offer makes her smile. Maybe it wouldn't quite sate the problems she had in the moon phase, but it was worth a shot, wouldn't it? And she wasn't going to pass up the chance to hang around him again anyway.]

He understands the urge to head down to Level 3 or 4 and look for a fight, but he already spent his whole adolescence that way and tries (emphasis on "tries") not to fall back into bad habits too much.]

Ah, aggression. I have known other Sanguis who do wrestle with such troubles. I am afraid I can only offer to wear you out with combat or exercise until your exalted blessing returns.

Yeah, unfortunately it seems like it doesn't really matter. It'd be nice if there was one, so we could at least have preferred features over whatever.

Out of curiosity, would you say there's anything you've been doing in your time here that other people don't do? Or the opposite; is there something most people do that you don't?

I assume you'd prefer to stay exalted too? It's just a lot easier to deal with.

I have been a dragon since my second month here, and I have no idea why, nor how to make it go away. I would much rather stay a fish if I have to be anything.

The only way I know to make something permanent are those bracelets. But I don't know if those allow permanent physical features, just the... other stuff, I guess? The psychological ones or something?

There are a few instances I can think of, but I find it is better to learn about such behaviors by trying to perform them anyway. So long as no one is injured in the process, I see no harm. Did you have something in specific you were considering?
