[ The feed opens to Ren standing in front of the camera, scowling just a little bit at the person holding the device, though he looks more vaguely amused and exasperated than anything. He holds a piece of paper in his hands, though at the moment, what it actually says is obscured. ] This is really what I have to do? I did apologize, you know.
[The response to that, of course, is just a chuckle and a shrug from somewhere off camera.] It’s either this or I could think of something… better.
[Something about her tone suggests that it probably wouldn’t be any better, though.]
I'm...kind of scared to know your 'better'. [ He admits, sighing dramatically. ] My incredibly kind, smart, and forgiving girlfriend [ He raises an eyebrow at her beyond the camera. ] has agreed to forgive me for being a giant jerk if I do this, so...
[ With that, Ren holds the paper up. Across it in Pidge's neat handwriting are two sentences: Hi! My name is Ren, and the only form of exercise I get is jumping to conclusions!. Is Ren blushing a little? No, of course not, not at all. It's a trick of the light, clearly. ] ...Wait. I exercise! [ Someone apparently didn't actually read the sign beforehand. ]
[That actually makes her laugh, but she appreciates that he’s willing to go along with it, at least. Of course, the flattery helps as well. Pidge waits patiently for him to do as she’s asked, and when he’s done so, she gives him a thumbs up.]

[She’s skeptical, Ren, but willing to give the benefit of the doubt since he’s being so cooperative. Had he read the sign beforehand? Pidge honestly can’t say for sure. Knowing Ren, probably not. But that’s fine, as long as he’s willing to admit that he made a mistake before.]
I get exercise with you. [ Waggling his eyebrows at her, Ren approaches to take the device. Then, quick as the fox he is, he snatches it up and turns it on Pidge. ] How about 'My name is Katie and I s-- [ But the video cuts out before Ren can finishor be murdered, the victim of a stray button press. ]
