[The video feed opens up to the image of a man with a weird coat and an even weirder hairstyle. It'd be weird enough without the translucence provided by his Iris Moonblessing, honestly. He is located somewhere in one of Greatmoon Groves' parks from the looks of things in the background, and he seems very excited to speak with the network.]

Greetings! I've yet to make a post to the network, so I would like to introduce myself first and foremost. I am Colress, a scientist working for the Lunar Scientia and a fellow Moonblessed!

I am addressing the network today with an inquiry! But before I get to that, I would like to make just a few more introductions. This will be related to my inquiry.

[Colress then pans the camera to five creatures whom he introduces as Klinklang, Beheeyem, Magneton, Rotom and Porygon-Z. Klinklang and Rotom seem particularly interested in crowding around the communication band to get their time to shine, while Beheeyem and Magneton hang out as far off-screen as possible. Porygon-Z looks like it has no idea what's going on, honestly.

Colress manages to settle them all down before returning his attention to the feed.]

These are my Pokemon! I have been here for about two months, and have taken notice to the fact that everyone I've spoken to has had no idea what Pokemon are. Allow me to provide a brief description: Pokemon are creatures in my world with unique abilities and affinities to various elements. There are hundreds of species, and they have had a long-standing symbiotic relationship with humans. Pokemon are a cornerstone of my world's culture and my primary subject of study, so you can imagine my surprise when I discovered that I seem to be the only one with knowledge of them here!

However, I have met several individuals with similar companions. This brings me to my inquiry: Are there others present in Lunatia that arrived with pets or companions similar to Pokemon? I would love to compare and contrast our experiences, and learn more about the creatures of your worlds!

[As Colress goes on, the upside-down head of Porygon-Z can be seen peering in from the top left corner of the feed.]

Of course, I am also happy to elaborate on the subject of Pokemon as well, if anyone found interest in my description.

Oh, absolutely! If he can make Pokemon much larger than him float, he can certainly make humans float. He has helped me on various occasions by doing just that, actually!

Science is fun, you know. But if you say that you're doing it for science, how can I say no? How do you intend to implement science into this activity?

[He's enabling but he's also going to throw a test her way!]

Uh...measure how long I cay stay up in the air and how high I can go? [She pauses, and she gasps softly.] Wait, that might be too hard on Beeheeyem...

Haha, a fine experiment!

[It's something he's already tested out, but it'll be fun to watch Kay try it for herself. That is...]

Beheeyem should be fine, though you will need to ask him nicely. [He calls the little floating alien over so it can look into the camera.] Beheeyem, this young lady has a question for you.

[Though Beheeyem doesn't exact emote that much, he still manages to give off a rather standoffish aura. This might be tricky...]

[How do you approach a Pokemon, anyway? But Kay accepts the challenge, and waves at the Beheeyem while flashing her most winning smile. Or what she hopes is her most winning smile.]

Hello, Beheeyem! I'm Kay Faraday, and I do have a question. Is it okay if you let me fly as high as you can make me, please? Pretty please with sugar on top?

[Beheeyem just stares, unblinking into the camera for an uncomfortably long period of time before he makes an odd beeping noise and flashes some lights from his stubby hand.

Colress does his best to interpret, based on what he knows about Beheeyem's preferences.]

Ah, I believe he is looking for an incentive. Is there anything you can offer him in return?

[kayssistant]

An incentive, huh...

[Kay is inwardly relived Beheeyem has stopped staring so long. It was starting to get a little freaky. She taps her cheek.]

Does he like treats?

[Beheeyem curiously tilts his head at the mention of treats. A good sign!]

Oh, certainly. That is exactly what I tend to give him in return for his assistance with tasks outside of battle. I believe he would be pleased to try a new offering. Am I correct with that assumption, Beheeyem?

[Some more beeping from Beheeyem, but he nods as well, so that's a much better indicator of how he feels on the matter.]

Can I give him cookies? I'll make them, fresh from the oven!

[She doesn't even know what Beheeyem would eat, but Colress would certainly steer her in the right direction.]
