It's been a few months since I've had a proper post, so I suppose I should introduce myself.

Hey, I'm Inaba - I've been here for over a year now, so if anybody has any questions, feel free to lay them on me. A lot of my friends left two months ago, so I guess I'm partially doing this post to get to know new people. ヽ(∀° )人( °∀)ノ

I'm also interested in hearing about Moon Knights - I think some of you guys might be some? I was thinking of potentially getting some contacts, after all.

Anyway, it's already Iris cycle, and I guess... I got a break this month. No animal ears, none of the weird traits, nothing. I didn't even get affected by the cycle at the beginning of the month either, it's kind of crazy. ヽ(°〇°)ﾉ

In the interest of getting to know new people: let's play a game, shall we?

You have two options: 1) AMA. I've been here for over a year, am decently good with computers, and currently hold a job in programming. or 2) Give me a genre, and I'll craft a 'text adventure' story for you.

You still have to "read" it of course, but you're allowed to participate in it as well. And correct - genre is the kind of story. But a mystery, huh?

You wake up to a letter received at your side - a sealed envelope with a symbol of a bird on the seal.

It's not a seal that you recognize, but for some reason, it feels urgent.

Do you open it?

Yeah. I was thinking of becoming a proper detective, partially so that I can get some answers.

If you need someone taste test, I'm generally around. Most of my work can pretty much be done from home, after all.

Plus, don't all of the detectives in movies carry a coffee mug? First step towards your new career!

To be honest, I haven't seen many movies at all. I don't actually know much about detective work either.

What I was doing with the Agency was more like... a favor than a job.

When I start the business proper, we should. Maybe I can have it double up as an early birthday party, too, since I'm expecting my birthday to go to shit again.

There doesn't seem to be any signs of poison in the slightest bit.

And as you look around, there doesn't seem to be an obvious way how they managed to get in.

The seal is broken and what seems to fall out is a letter, along with what seems to be a golden ticket.

I immediately pick up the ticket and unfold the letter.

1. No, I didn't. But was it 'destiny' that brought us here, too? I highly doubt that. If 'destiny' really is a factor here, a bunch of us really will be stuck here for ten years, trying to find a way back home to no avail and I cannot accept that sort of answer.

Much as I can't accept that "forgetting" is a finality. I know it's something that happens when people leave, normally, but that doesn't mean I can't find another option.

Even if I accept the experiences that I've learned from here, it isn't as if I'm entirely enjoying myself in a place like this.

It may not be coincidence. I don't think coincidences exist. But I doubt it's some 'destiny' that made things happen. People make things happen. Regardless of whether those people are human or not.

Of course, that's my personal opinion based on personal experience and logic from how my own world works. And how I've seen this world work.

It's not as if I'm not looking at what's happening: whether it's the present, the past, or any sort of potential future. I am keenly aware of the things that I do and the things that others might be doing as well; at least, on the larger scale of things.
