Okay, so I'm tired of writing, that took me forever, I'm new at this. But that was all important to me.
As to Uncle, Uncle doesn't hate anything. He's a wise person with a positive outlook on life, even though he's been through a lot — because he's been through a lot, maybe, I dunno... But we're really, really different. You'd probably get along better with him than you do me, to be honest. But Uncle's raised me like a father ever since his own son died five years ago, kind of before then too, not really — but if there's anyone from home I'd want to be here, it's Uncle Iroh. He's the person who taught me to be nice and trained me in my firebending. He's peaceful but powerful. He likes tea and music and a boring board game only old men like called Pai Sho. But mostly tea.
[ Pause for breath and redirection; he's not had a conversation like this possibly ever, but for as much as he is confused by this technology, the reality is the communicators, uh, help Zuko communicate. It's a new social freedom, alien but comfortable. He's getting on board more lately. Never stop grumping, ever, but this is easily the most positive shit he's said in months, and it's surprisingly clear in his voice as he opens up, half-thinking out loud, half-connecting. Good job, Titus, you worked your magic somehow, finally. ]
And as to Gokudera— We don't "sulk!" We have fun and talk and stuff. But we share Chroma when we hang out, that's all... He's a good person too, actually, even though he's also had a hard life — but he's more like me, less like Uncle. He has a lot of good reasons to be angry, but he's also kind and helped me a lot recently when I had moonblessing problems. He's a good friend. I don't have a friend like him at home honestly. We're kind of similar in strange ways... I think it's destiny that brought us together here, but that's something else to unpack, and now I'm tired of talking, too. Done.
