Try using the timer on your phone? And prop it up against something sturdy + leave the camera on selfie mode. That should help?

someone else told me about a timer but i dont get it. you guys make it seem like common sense but its not to me.

There should be a button that looks like a clock on the screen when you open up the camera
and when you click it you can set up a count down before the phone takes the picture

i just tried it and it seems to work as a countdown like you said. interesting. it really is like magic.
