[ He frowns in thought, scratching at the back of his head. The villagers do seem to revere Rika a lot... but Hinamizawa is a small village with some rich traditions, and Rika's family has always played a part in them. ]

I'm really not sure. In fact, there might not be anything at all, just a theory. But the plan was never to let the village destroy itself... it would get destroyed as a contingency plan, and everybody would be dead before they even knew what happened.

[ And then, a smile. ]

At least, that's what would've happened. And in order to stop that, we had to find a way to disrupt the enemy's plans without letting them know that we were on to them. So, we pretended that she was already dead!

[ He sounds so proud of that plan. ]
