I’m sure that, even if it is harder than it looks now, it can’t possibly be as awful as where we came from.
[Because where he came from, his best friend got killed by Carolina and Texas, and then, years later, Temple got put in jail.]
[And based on the things she’s said about it so far, her world sounds awful too.]
