This might be a weird request, but could I borrow a few baggy shirts? I guess Iris makes me grow big, uncomfortable, stupid horns that don't let me fit through doors and ruin all my tops! [ that is not a bitter tone, it definitely is not. ]

[ she hesitates a moment, uncertain — and then she sighs, and seems to make up her mind on something. for the most part, she's been trying to leave her history out of things when she talks to people, even something as small as speaking vaguely about her experiences, because it's the only way she'll sound anything close to normal. but since her experience here is actually sort of useful, it's a difficult line to walk. ]

When you're in a cage like this, you've gotta adjust, sure, or else you'll go crazy. But getting domesticated is just as bad. Sooner or later, we're gonna have to take some kind of action even if it's hopeless. Otherwise you'll end up picturing your future as this place.
