My name is Usagi Tsukino! And I totally need some help! You see, one of my bestest best friends, Ami Mizuno, well her birthday is this month! The 10th for any of you who are friends with her too!

Aaanyway! So, I wanna get her like, the PERFECT gift cause I mean, this is her birthday we're talking about! And we're away from all of our friends from home and so I wanna do something special to help make her smile. But the thing is... Ami-chan is brilliant, like, just absolutely 1000% awesomely smart! And super-duper sweet and polite. She's such an amazing girl. And while I could get her a book cause she loves them, I don't want to cause well, what if she already read it, and I can get her a book anytime, ya know? She reads books the way everyone breathes! No no, see this gift has to be special!

And see, the thing is... um... I don't know what a super-duper brilliant girl would want.. well I mean I do know what she likes and would want, but again perfect gift here, people, that's what we're going for here. She likes computers and reading, swimming, and water. I've already got dinner planned [For those who know Usagi, fret not, she is not cooking.] I've got our day planned where we're gonna go to the aquarium. But I need that cherry on top, ya know?

So, for all you geniuses out there, what would be the perfect gift in your opinion?

Yeah yeah yeah, Suki-kun. Whatever. I'm not the one who makes themselves sick on sweets to try and prove a point.

OH! OH THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! I should totally get her a dress.

Oh, I don't need to go into her room, I know her size.

Socks can be super fun, maybe something with cute on them! That's a great idea!

[As usual, it's difficult for the Knight to answer things on the network, and the more so as they have very little idea what to get. They don't know Ami, and they aren't very familiar with getting presents.

But if she really is that smart... smart people like to solve puzzles, and learn things, don't they? So, maybe they could start with that.

The Knight scuttles down to a gaming shop and looks around for a bit. They find the puzzle section, pick one up, and take a short video of themselves holding it, pointing at the word "puzzle" on the box. They send that one, and quickly scuttle over to find one of those brain-teaser games. Grabbing it, they look on the back of the box and find the word "learn" in the description. They make another video, pointing out that word specifically.

Hopefully Usagi can use that somewhat roundabout way of getting their point across to puzzle out that the Knight thinks they should find her something puzzling she can learn from.]

Well, yes, she will and even if she didn't, she'd be able to fake being happy cause she's amazingly polite. But I mean, I know she'd love to read a book, any book... every book! But she wants to read everything and anything.

Well, she loves my cat Luna, and fish. She... tried to have a pet one once, not her fault about what happened to it. Ami kinda loves every animal, but she adores cats.

Oh! I should! I really should! On top of whatever else I get her. She doesn't have anything here.

Knight! You wanna help? Awww you are just like, the BEST, you know that? It's why I love you so much.

Hmm, and do you think I should get her a puzzle? Maybe! She'd probably love it!

I know someone like that.

Well, what if you met it half way? Make her a book. Pictures of the two of you, stories of good times you've had with her.

My best friend used to make things for my birthday.

[Sadly the ones he had been able to keep were all back in his dorm at Beacon, and who knows if he would ever see those again.]

[They nod eagerly. Honestly, if she doesn't go for the puzzle idea they might get it themselves. A little icebreaker for their roommate.

Granted, they aren't entirely sure what type of puzzle to get her, but they can figure that out. Probably.]

Maybe you could get her something cat-themed. Jewelry, a figurine...

[ A notebook? With cats on it? Marlene would probably adore one that had a bunch of Cait Siths on it. ]

I have some friends back home who've built their own computers. Maybe you could get your friend a book on how to do that? Building her own supercomputer might be a fun challenge that she'd enjoy.

Hopefully I'll get the chance to see meet her myself, but if I don't, tell her I said happy birthday!

I wouldn't have made myself sick if you had actual fucking taste beyond thinking more sugar somehow means better quality.

I think if she's that smart and polite, you should just straight-out ask her. Treat her to a meal the same day or a different one that you might think that she'd like -- brunch, maybe? -- and tell her the rest of the day is about her. She's going to get a gift and you'll make it about her. For me, I'll admit I'm a bit sappy. I'd rather just be with the people I care about.

Otherwise, if you know her size, a new bathing suit might be nice. I'm not that hip with fashion these days, but there are a lot of really flattering and cute designs.

Though for future reference, if anyone is curious, I'm fond of Fallkniven knives. ;)

Make her a book? Well, actually that could be super cute! ... I wish I could somehow get photos from home, though. Maybe she can settle for doodles in some cases. But I can be pretty crafty when I want!

Writing down favorite memories could also work. And of course you can decorate it however you want.

Nora always tried to make it special even though we didn't have much. I always appreciated that.

For her birthday I would save a little extra Lien and get chocolate chips to put in her pancakes.
