From the moment Dave opened his mouth Karkat had already raised the arm with the generic paper bag full of hot food. His ears were folded backwards and his gaze sharpened until the human's posture relaxed and he seemed to drop whatever dumb facade he was planning. Karkat shoved the takeout into Dave's arms and stomped inside in a far less formal manner than his friend had flourished. He wont play along, he just wants in.
The housing here smells just as generic as his own little patch of Level 2; minus Dave's personal scent that Karkat's keen nose is more than used to. It's soothing in its own, weird way. Familiarity is nice.
"It's..." Karkat snapped his fingers, attempting to recall the word that he had been told regarding the meal that he had swiped on his way here. "... Something knees food. I don't fucking know. It's like Eastern Alternian." As if that would clarify anything at all. "I told them to give me something that humans like. So if it tastes like shit don't bitch at me. I tried."
