Well.

I have an ability. It is tied to my life's energy rather than anything hmmm... supernatural or physical. So! If I die, it dies with me. But if I don't die, is it weaker? I think that would cause me a lot of trouble.

A body could be built back up but abilities like mine are harder to come by and it is already quite weak with having to rely upon Chroma instead of my own energy.

About the same. The only weakness I noticed was having to use the GIGA units to travel to Amegahara, but it likely goes back to needing chroma, since the monsters fed on it.
