every1's super active on this thing but i got a question that's been buggin me 4 awhile now

i wasnt at the nothing adventure thing, but i was around 4 the casino shindig and all that jazz

they have customs 4 chroma like a good luck hug or kiss before going off 2 fight or w/e rite? but like

i thought they couldnt make chroma? thats y we're "blessed" and stuff, rite? so how do they have customs 4 somethin like that if they cant do the thing that we can do?

they never had it in the 1st place, rite? it's weird.

if some1 already asked then can u just direct me 2 that post, pls? thx!

Huh. I've... that's a pretty good question. Maybe in the past they used to be able to generate chroma but can't now? It would explain why they knew the ways to generate it so quickly.

I'd noticed that, myself.

My going theory is that they used to be able to produce Chroma before the Calamity, but lost that ability when their old civilization was destroyed.

There isn't any information I can find about what life was like before then, so I can't be sure, but it seems like a solid theory from what I do know.

Pretty sure it's because they used to be able to make chroma, and something bad happened, so now they can't. It's related to how messed-up everything is outside of the city.

I think Akechi-kun has been researching it.

I can think of several reasons why it could've happened, but it'd just be me coming up with anything that sounds vaguely possible. I haven't really been looking into things enough to be able to give any real suggestions that have any evidence.

I've thought about that, too. I think someone or something actively suppressed information about before the Calamity. Otherwise, there would at least be stories.

I've already been doing that, they're just as useless on this front. Even the Amegaharan archives didn't have anything.

I think our best bet is to keep helping to expand the connections Lunatia has to the outside world. There were inscriptions in the ruins on Iris, so if we can find something similar here, we might be able to get useful information out of them.
