Well this is new.

[The video shows Kairi looking mildly perturbed, turned slightly to her side so she can properly show off her new additions.

A massive pair of white wings.]

It's a good thing I own a couple backless dresses. But I somehow don't see what this transformation has to do with Halloween. I mean, unless the moons want me to go as an angel or something. Anyone else have these?

And, if so, can you fly with them? Cause that'd actually be really cool.

Either way, I'm clearly only gonna have these for today, since the three-moon phase is almost over. Kinda weird for the moons to give out a special transformation for only a day, isn't it?

Well, whatever. If anyone sees a girl flying around like a maniac later today, don't be too worried. It just means I got these wings to work. Gonna go try them out now!

[And, indeed, she will be findable testing the wings out during the day.]

"Oh my goodness! Your wings are pretty! Are they soft? I bet they are."

Oh hi Koishi.

"They're pretty soft. Where've you been? It feels like I haven't seen you in ages."

"I've been here. My head fell off for awhile so I had to chase it around. No one could really see me or hear me. I think I'm better for now though."

Right. Unconscious powers.

"Can I come and see them?" By which she meant shove her face into them. It's what she always did with any and every soft thing she got her hands on.

"Your head... you know if this was anyone but you I'd be incredibly worried."

But she's come to figure that Koishi's basically as impossible to kill as a cartoon character.

"Sure, but I'm heading out to the park to try them out, so maybe meet me there? Unless you're already in your room."

But if that's the case wouldn't she have just come out into the living room to say hi?

"Nooo You don't have to be worried. Things just go all up and slantways when my head goes away. But I'll always find it again eventually."

It was hard to tell if she was being literal or not.

"Oh! I'm not in my room. I'm on the bookshelf!"

...

It took a few moments but Koishi eventually came into focus. She was, indeed, in her favorite spot. On the bookshelf. God dammit...

"Hi there!"

Kairi jumped a little as she suddenly appeared, but that was about it. She stared at her in disbelief for a moment as the surprise wore off.

"You know, that's still a really bizarre ability no matter how many times I see you use it."

Her wings flare a bit.

"Well... here I am. Wings and all."

...That is new. And completely unrelated to his month's special transformation, as far as I can tell. [At the very least, 'squid/octopus' and 'wings' have nothing to do with each other.]

Yeah, I noticed those squid transformations. Those made sense. They were just like the Queen and her minions up on Iris. And a friend of mine seems to be going through a bat transformation, too, which makes sense for Halloween.

This, though? This is completely out of nowhere. That's why I'm trying to find other people who are having this happen to them.

I have them, too.

[ And sure enough, when Rey leans back in the frame of her video, large white wings are visible from her back. She looks fairly uncomfortable with this development. ]

Are you Iris?

Well that's reassuring.

And yeah, I am. But I've never seen wings like these as part of an Iris transformation before. Heck, I've never seen an Iris with wings at all.

[Still, that's not something to just write off.]

Aww, that's a shame. [She thought it might be the case, but she didn't want to assume] But they really do look great on you! How do they feel?

I said if. I haven't tried them yet. [Though she can see how the phrasing would be confusing. Not that she really expects them to work, but she's gotta try.]

They're really soft to the touch. It feels weird to have them pull on my back, though. I kinda wish my breasts were bigger, to balance them out.

[Oops, her bad! The next comment catches her off guard.]

As in...they're heavy or..?

[She's trying to navigate this sense without saying something that she herself would consider invasive or inappropriate. Lobco sorta had wings before but they were just her arms that were changed. They hadn't come out of her back like that.]

Not exactly. It's just... they pull. I'm really aware of them, and it's kinda throwing my balance off, honestly.

And then the little youkai had thoroughly attached herself to Kairi in as big a hug as she could muster. Only then did she take hold of one of the wings, being very gentle as she... well... shoved her face in the soft feathers, knocking her hat askew.

"They are very soft!" Yes. Verily. "I bet you could make lots of comfy pillows with feathers this soft." Koishi, no!

She nuzzled for a long moment before backing up some, twirling in the air. "They're really big too. You could absolutely fly with these. or at least glide. I don't have wings to fly with but I can help keep you from falling."

At this point, Kairi wasn't even surprised to have Koishi attach herself onto her like a burr. Now, having her face shoved into those wings... that's a new feeling, though at least it's at least partly because the wings themselves are so new.

"I... don't think I want to pluck a bunch of feathers for any reason, pillows or not." Though, she wasn't wrong.

Koishi's declaration, though, excited her. "You're sure? You really think I can fly with these?"

Hmm. I wonder what brought it on.

Some of my friends who get wings during Cordis have managed flight, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

Cordis can get owl wings, right? If those can make you fly, these should definitely be able to pull it off.

I will. SO far I haven't seen or experienced anything unusual, but that doesn't mean anything in and of itself, as much as moonblessings can vary.

Still, if wings are on the table now... I wonder what changed.
