[When Cyril starts the video he seems to be checking that it's really working before he speaks. Once he does, he smiles at the camera.]

Look at what I found.

[And he changes the angle carefully to show off a display of cybernetic arms and legs. They're all meant as medical prosthetics and he seems utterly thrilled by the whole concept of them. When he brings the view back to himself it's clear why. He's missing one of his arms from the elbow down.]

I've been speaking with the doctor here and they work almost entirely like a real arm. I may even regain some kind of sensation in the fingers.

In order to get one, however, I do need more Chroma. So here I am, seeking volunteers willing to help me. Every little bit will help so even if all you can offer is a handshake or a hug, I'd be more than happy to partake. Though, if you're willing to do even more than that, I'm also always willing to indulge in a bit of physical intimacy. I admit a preference for men, but I've been curious to experiment.

Thedas isn't part of America. It's not on Earth. [At least he knows what America is thanks to how many people from Earth there are.]

And, I'm sorry. I haven't heard of 'video games.' I'm guessing it's a... game... done with videos?

[Are you a slave? Some spirit tied to a human? Just really kinky? Cyril's going to have to withhold judgment until he knows how you mean the word.]

Eh? Well, I'm a sword, so I used to have owners who used me to fight. I used to belong to a very famous warrior named Okita Souji! [He's pretty damn sure Cyril won't have any idea who Okita was.] And then my new master, a saniwa sage, summoned me and gave me this human body, so now I serve them and fight for them!

[At first Cyril thinks that 'I'm a sword' means a 'sellsword.' But then the words are 'summoned' and 'gave me a human body' and all of that throws him for a loop.

Cyril blinks, not sure he understands. The only thing he has to compare this to is Cole, a spirit of Compassion who had been summoned by the pain of a mage.]

I'm not sure it does, sorry.

But I do want to understand. Does that make you a spirit of some kind?

[Yasusada lights up at the word spirit, and nods quickly.]

Yes, that's right. I'm a tsukumogami, the spirit of an object that's been around for a very long time! In this case, I'm the spirit of the sword Yamatonokami Yasusada. And that's my name! I was forged over five hundred years ago.

S-sorry, I guess I'm not very good at explaining all of this! Back home I live with a lot of other swords, so all I have to tell them is that I used to belong to Okita Souji and they know what that means already.

[That does make a lot more sense to Cyril. Spirits based on emotions are common in Thedas and they usually cling to places or things that were influenced by those emotions. That might not be exactly what a tsukumogami is, but it's close enough that he can at least conceptualize it.

For a moment, he wishes that Solas were here so they could discuss this, but he shoves that thought aside.]

You don't need to apologize. There are some things that are so well known in our homes that it's difficult to put words to.

[He perks up a bit, not feeling quite so self-conscious over his complete failure to explain being a Touken Danshi. Although now he looks hesitant for a whole new reason.]

[He waits for Cyril to open the door to the apartment and steps inside as he's invited, turning on his heel once he's inside to bite his lip and look over the elf.]

Hahahhaa! Kind of like that, yeah! Well, that's okay! You just needa be shown it and I'm sure you'll be a pro at no time. A video game console was one of my first things I purchased here, hehehe.

[And he's about to be more of a brat about it, but Cyril is pressing forward and reaching for his pants already -- so instead, he rolls his hips up eagerly and lets out a faint, whimpering moan as he settles his hands on the elf's waist and deepens the kiss immediately, tongue running over Cyril's lower lip.]
