My name is Cloud Strife. Haven't ironed out the kinks just yet, but I'm thinking of opening up shop again. Lunatia's pretty big, and I used to run a delivery business back home. So...

[ He's gauging interest. ]

If you got a business or know anyone who does, I can handle your supplies' shipments. Or personal mail and parcels. You name it, we deliver it. [ Speaking of handling large packages, ] That reminds me...

[ Cloud's already standing outside by what appears to be the side of a road. So when he turns the camera... In frame is a monster-sized motorcycle that somehow manages to look sleek at the same time.

Yes. That's his ride. ]

[ Weiss is like frozen yoghurt! Cold, but soft and sometimes sweet. See? She's on brand! 🍦 ]

Because... [ Welp. It's not like he's actively trying to hide anything. But before he keeps going, it hits him that yeah. He's gonna have to give Weiss a story or actually talk about his damn life for once! instead of confusing her. ] I knew how to get him and his team in to plant the bomb in the reactor.

[ Luckily for the two of them? Cloud's naturally a soft spoken person. So he's not blabbing this outloud for the world to hear. ]

I'm part of a group named AVALANCHE. At first, it was about fighting against a company named Shinra that was killing off the planet with Mako reactors. That...kinda spiralled off into saving the world, to put it shortly.

[ Weiss quirks a brow when Cloud mentions planting a bomb. A bomb?! This guy— that's way too much!! Too extreme that she ends up laughing a little after Cloud tells a little bit of his story. ]

I thought what we did was crazy... we stole an airship and disabled an entire city's communications tower.

[ A pause, then she gives him a goofy smile. ]

I guess someone's a lot more ridiculous than us.

[ Oh that's only scratching the surface behind the inane things he's done. When she laughs a little, he finds himself relaxing a bit. Enough so that when she chimes in about stealing an airship, his brows lift a little. ]

Oh you took an airship too.

[ While he doesn't laugh with her, his expression does lighten up again. ]

Looking back...you might be right. If stealing an airship and knocking out an entire city's comms is the craziest thing you've pulled anyway.

[ If he went through every dumb crazy stunt he and his party pulled off, they'd have to get a second or third cup of fro-yo. ]

[ Crazy for her, yes. But she's also run away from home, burned a forest, and got sent flying off a cliff... also crazy things, but somehow, a lot more reasonable. ]

You sound like you don't believe me.

Why wouldn't I believe you? Besides, [ He gestures again with a hand at his side. ] nothing sounds too out there anymore after getting whisked away to a different planet.

Only time I ever got to see space was in a rocket on a collision course with a meteor.

That still sounds crazy to me.

[ She pretty much thinks that Cloud's world is full of crazy things. Flying chickens, mushrooms that can turn people into giants, fish that can walk... ]

None of us have ever gone to space. Dust doesn't work out there, so we can't study what's outside of Remnant even if we wanted to. Our moon's... not like the moon here, either. It has phases, but when it's not full or new, it's shattered.

[ He could have sworn he heard about that from somewhere before... But wouldn't that cause the oceans to go out of whack? Then again, there's three moons here (possibly more?) ]

Mm. Can't imagine much else working in space anyway.

I get what you mean. Thought about joining them for a while, but I'm better at doing some good outside the rules.

I've always considered myself open to new experiences but this was a damn lot to take in. I think I've adjusted, for better or worse. It's been eye opening, and a break I didn't realize I- or we -needed, but I'm eager to get home myself, if the opportunity arises.

[Back to where familiar faces know who she is beyond having gotten to know her here in the city, that is. Back to familiar sights and sounds and smells... Other aspects she doesn't miss quite so much, like familiar enemies, and a quiet apartment, and life or death problems with as of yet undiscovered solutions.

What if there are other planets though? Like— we're going from one place to another here, right?

We can't do that. But I guess people have been alive for so long and no alien's ever invaded us. Maybe there's nothing outside of Remnant.

You know... I've been thinking about that.

[ Ever since he got here, if he's being honest, his expression turning contemplative. ]

Maybe we're all a lot closer than we realize. On my world, an alien crashed there over 2000 years ago, proving that there's life out there. And...well, here we are. Remnant could be somewhere out there and none of us would have ever known it.

[ Where did Jenova come from anyways? Writhing, mutating tentacled monstrosity? Could fit right in in Iris lore. ]

[ At first, she gives him her attention. What he says does make sense, but aliens and other lifeforms outside Remnant, as much as she would like to learn more, feels a little... terrifying. They're already waging war against someone who was alive in the previous world—what came before Remnant. That, and the existence of Grimm already put them in a bad place. ]

This conversation's starting to get a little philosophical.

[ It's funny, and it makes Weiss lean back in her chair with a small smile. ]

I think even if Remnant was just out there, there wouldn't be a way to get back, anyway. Not right now.
