In a way, yes. But his power was given to him and meant to be.. much more temporary than it ended up being, from what I could gather from Proxy One's more then likely intentional riddles. But then grandfather took things further than he probably should have, as is the usual ending, from what I can gather.

Mostly hedonistic, but it's not all that surprising. Most of it seems new, as well. Which, considering all this calamity talk isn't all that jarring.
