You aren't waiting for one person or one thing though. It's just some people need to be at their lowest to have their strongest hope. Terrible and good people can have their hope rewarded, it's just about how strong their hope is. I have witnessed this before.

As for you being the devil, well, honestly you seem too nice. I would think the devil was a pure being of despair wrecking chaos and destruction everywhere.
