ok. so.

but i guess my big question is

like. has anyone else here gone through this whole "kidnap and wake up somewhere else" thing
because even if this place is way better than duplicity i would really kind of... rather not? keep popping around in different places.

I can't speak about Jesus. And Hope is something born in every single person. Others can inspire hope, sure, but the thing that becomes True Hope is the power you hold inside. It's the drive to crawl out of the mud and keep going, to survive at any cost, to do good and make the world a better place.

And how would you do that? An average boring life can be safe, with no adversity there would be no problems, no issues, no hurt feelings or disappointments. But would there still be a drive? Would there be innovation? Would we be able to be happy?

There has to be some kind of balance.

You aren't waiting for one person or one thing though. It's just some people need to be at their lowest to have their strongest hope. Terrible and good people can have their hope rewarded, it's just about how strong their hope is. I have witnessed this before.

As for you being the devil, well, honestly you seem too nice. I would think the devil was a pure being of despair wrecking chaos and destruction everywhere.

Of course not! Even terrible people can have hope. Hope is just the power to drive you forward, your will, your belief that things will get better for you. Good people will want things better for those around them as well, and groups of people will think of their group, but Hope isn't some sort of thing that chooses people based on merit, it is the power of determination and conviction.

I guess? I'm not that religious so I haven't really thought about it. But, I suppose that can be true. Terrible things happen for no reason, and humanity struggles. We're probably all just toys with no further thought put into it.

I don’t really know that much about religion. I’ve never been to a church, sometimes I would go to shrines on New Years, but that’s about it. I’ve read lots of books and mythology, but that feels too academic.

True, different cultures and religions have different ideas of things. Some don't even have a concept of evil per se.

Philosophy would be more acurate I think. And as for good and bad are still a thing, but evil, the idea of pure evil, is not. If you think about it pure evil is a rather rare thing to come across.

Though, I do beleive evil does exist but it's rare.
