He hasn't been home since the 30th, and won't answer my texts, which isn't like him. I thought he was just spending the night with a girlfriend or something but now I'm worried.

A little over a year, actually.

Especially not after what you've been through. Friendships forged in fire are durable ones, after all!

Yeah, totally! Something about fighting monsters and trying to save lives really makes you bond faster than normal. But I dunno, maybe I also get attached faster than most. I'd be willing to believe that, too.
