[The video opens at first to a glorious view of Manuela's chest. There's some messing around and you hear her click her tongue before she angles the camera up to her face. After studying it for a moment, she brightens.]

There! That's better.

[She smiles and smooths her hair before sitting back in the chair she's sitting in.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Manuela and I decided to take this chance to let you know that we have another option for schooling here. I have recently opened a school called Casagranda's Grand Castle Academy. We have worked hard this past month in preparing it to open and look forward to having students join us for lessons.

[She adjusts the camera a little again then rests her hands in her lap.]

We currently offer some of the basics of reading and writing as well as languages. However, our courses extend into that of combat training as well. We even provide lessons and instruction on magic use for healing and combat. There is no tuition to attend and we welcome those interested in a classroom experience or private tutoring. Simply let us know your interests and we will do our best to help you achieve the lesson requirements for the task.

And for those interested in teaching or helping to maintain the school, there are still positions available. I would be glad to speak with you privately about opportunities.

[A wink and she wiggles her fingers to wave.]

[He didn't give a more specific timeframe entirely because he's still figuring out where everything is, and it's a good thing he wasn't specific because he absolutely manages to get lost. But it's fine, he'll arrive within the hour at least, and he even manages to find the correct office!

He knocks and waits for Manuela to get the door, since he can at least pretend to have some manners for the time being. He seems to be doing just fine, although he's perhaps a little more on-edge than Manuela is used to seeing. Given that he's still new here, that's probably understandable.]

Come in!

[Luckily her public office doesn't look a disaster. She's been keeping that out of the public eye. She doesn't need people judging her school based on her failures. Sure she doesn't want to change who she is but she is aware of how certain things can look.

Looking up, she sees that it's Hubert and rises to her feet so she can go pour the coffee she's prepared for him.]

Have a seat, Hubert.

[And she'll note his current age right away. How are all the Eagles showing up five years younger than everyone else?]

[He nods in greeting as he enters, though he also doesn't make any effort to hide how he glances around the room. Manuela isn't someone he would suspect to be a threat, but given how little he knows about her - and her time in this world - he isn't going to be careless.]

Thank you, professor. [...Though she was never his professor and she's most likely from the future, it's probably best to be polite.] You have my thanks for meeting with me under such short notice, as well.

[He takes a seat, though as always, he still manages to look on-edge.]

Of course. I'm always pleased to meet with students of the Monastery.

[Even if they happen to be enemies in her time. She simply can't bring herself to view them that way here. Especially when she knows they're not evil people. Simply those trying to follow a different path even if it leads to tears.

Sitting across from him, she slides his coffee over to him before having some herself.]

Mm. Still not my favorite. But it really isn't so bad when you get used to the bitterness of it.

[He takes the cup carefully, though he won't drink until he's watched Manuela take a sip. Just a precaution, of course. He has no reason to believe Maneula would try to poison him in her own office, but old habits die hard.]

I'm not surprised most people prefer tea.

[Usually it's far too sweet for his tastes.]

Thank you for the coffee. [It's good...] How long have you been here, professor?

[...Well, it's not exactly a graceful transition, but they both know why he's here, so of course he's going to launch into the questions.]

Only a few weeks. Around two months now?

[Manuela sips at her coffee. Really it is rather good but she knows that's because she brewed it herself.]

You have only recently arrived but I'm glad Edelgard has you here. I've only spoken with her briefly but I could tell it's been difficult for her.

[Two months... Interesting. That's something he'll be sure to remember.

Manuela's words get his eyes to dart for a moment before he returns his gaze to her.]

Any difficulties she may have had will no longer be a concern now that I am here.

[......oh my god, hubert.

He relaxes just the tiniest bit once that's out there.]

I... appreciate your concern for her.

[And even though that doesn't begin to explain it at all, it's far more than he'd ever offer most people. In this situation, when it's Lady Edelgard and him against what feels like the entire world, having even one person express kindness and sympathy to Lady Edelgard means more than he can ever express.]

[Ah yes. There he is. Protective as ever. Still, it makes her smile instead of bristle since it means that he's, well, himself.

She takes another sip of her drink then shakes her head.]

I care about Edelgard as well. When I first ran into her she was experiencing her first Sanguis moon and it was very troubling for her.

[She sighs.]

It's troubling for all of us in different ways really.

[That gets his gaze to dart again, and this time he doesn't correct it.]

I can imagine. It's... good you were there to assist her.

[Once again, understating it horribly, but it's remarkably difficult to be open and honest about how much it means to him that she was, especially considering that the rest of the people from Fódlan have sided against Lady Edelgard.]

Professor, if I may ask... [he's going to anyway!!] What version of events happened for you?

Well, it has been five years since anything you might remember. I hesitate to offer too much information on the future, even if it is only a possible one for you.

[She might not know much able all that but she's aware enough that sharing too much could be bad.]

To answer your question, I did go where Byleth went and he, since mine is male, chose to follow Dimitri. With that said, I have no ill feelings towards Edelgard. I am only sorry that a war had to be necessary to resolve anything. While we are here, I would like to not think about the trails we must all face when we return home. We have enough to deal with already.
