[For those of you who know the fishman behind the username...this person is certainly not a fishman showing up on screen. He may as well be a male model doing a photoshoot on the beach with the way he slicks back his dark, wet hair while going shirtless underneath that open jacket. (No, there's no real sparkles, you're just imagining things.) Some things are the same such as his hard-earned muscles and the weird black lines that run down his chest.

The human is undoubtedly Zed when he finally opens his mouth:]

If any of you were curious, the Potion of Pining can indeed transform you into a different species. Not unlike the moonblessings, but it's a more complete transformation.

[He pauses to rub a hand against his neck while taking a deep breath, almost as if he hasn't had fresh air in a long time.]

I would say that switching primary organs for respiration was the most difficult part, but adjusting comes fairly quick. [What a blessing to not immediately suffocate. And after a blink--]

Then I think we can agree that we're both biased in some form, whether it's regarding ourselves or others.

I'll keep the cigarette trick in mind. Besides temperament, is there anything else we may have in common? [Gotta prepare beyond asking about some cigarette trick or talking about their friend-matchmaker.]

The potion itself is interesting, yes. I should have asked Lumi how it was made or who the supplier was. It makes me wonder if it has any relation to how the moons affect us, whether it's similar in base magic, etc. Though I am not a chemist or alchemist, so understanding it would be purely out of curiosity.

I'm actually used to a constant influx of smells rather than being limited by each breath. So this may be particularly useful for when the Sanguis moon is full.

He's also experienced with vampires, of course! Though that might be best to keep light, since it's...Well. I'm not the only friend he ends up losing to vampiric interference, let's just say that. Anything scientific would probably be a good springboard too, you both strike me as incredibly intelligent. But...I think he'll open up to you more readily than most people, Zed. Or at least talk to you, instead of monosyllabic answers and glares like he gives most strangers.

I also told him to ask you about skateboarding. He thinks that's rather cool, I hope you don't mind that I mentioned that? I thought that it was rather cool too, between us.

We'll have to keep our ears close to the ground, in case anyone else decides to nab a potion like this. Maybe if we can get just a drop or two, we can have it analysed? Though knowing this place, there'd be something absolutely bizarre that defies our understanding of science, so it'd be pointless. I'm still curious, all the same!

Probably because I prefer isolating myself during the full moon. The last few times have been fine, but I've had times where I didn't trust myself to be around others.

Honestly, I'm sure that the two of you will figure things out in terms of conversation so that your not being a professional skateboarder won't be a problem. You're both incredibly intelligent people! And if it doesn't work out, then so be it! This isn't an arranged marriage, you really don't need to worry.

That's completely understandable! Maybe I should look into getting some one day just to test it out, though. Just for laughs and our mental satisfaction. What else am I spending chroma on, if not just on food and stock for the shop? (I assume it's just a normal chroma transaction, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!)

I understand you wanting to isolate yourself, too. My partner's also Sanguis, and once he burnt down his workplace due to an argument with a friend of mine. It must be worrying to have, if you don't have someone willing to hole up with you for that moon phase. Though, if you'll pardon me saying so, I'd imagine that you'd be flush with willing partners?

Ah, that's alright; it's none of my business anyway, as long as you're doing alright and coping during your cycle. I'm sorry to pry so much; I think it's just that I'm so used to dealing with people who put themselves aside for everyone else until it gets to the point of them coming to harm.
