[ The vampire appears on a skewed video, like he's forgotten how to use his device. Anyone who knows him may be surprised at his composure and dignified expression, despite his confusion -- they may be used to a more eccentric, more playful sort of person. ]

They told me it was normal to wake that way, but no word about having a life I couldn't remember. This place looks well lived-in. There's even an accounting book for a business that dates back a few months.

[ Shell looks faintly familiar to Cehd'ra. Not a Moonblessed he ever met or spoke with personally he thinks but someone he's seen on the network before. Granted, it's been several months from his perspective...which also makes the man's question particularly relevant for him. ]

[ Cehd'ra should look familiar to him. Shell should be charging the camera, asking Where have you been? How are you? and smiling from ear to ear. But once he came back from the thawing wasteland of his world, his memories of being in space - and all those he once befriended - had evaporated like smoke. That was the whole reason for this post, wasn't it?

[ Shell would only have been met with confusion. At best Cehd'ra's learned enough about what differing worlds can mean to believe they could have met before in another life...but it still would have been another life. Maybe this is for the best. ]

[ The screens between them disguise the flicker even further but Cehd'ra's eyes are sharper than that. The miqo'te puts on a disarming smile. ]

They're useful little tools but they don't come with very clear instructions, do they? 'Would be glad to show you what I've learned though it'd be a job better done in person...

I put up this message as soon as I returned home. I'm not usually awake during the day, but the Knights gave me this helpful supplement-- The sun's no bother here. It's amazing.
