Do you know much about the author?

I've read some of his works -- there's a guy here who comes from a world where he knew the guy personally, and he got me a copy of a collection of his stories.

[He's just gonna leave out the part where the characters in those works seem to reflect the lives of his parents, that's still too weird even for him.]

From the sound of it, a lot of people in my world are known as famous authors from all kinds of different time periods in others.

And yet somehow, that's still not the weirdest thing about this place.

Ah, because I’m not in high school, I graduated a few years ago. As an alumni that would be former, but there’s nothing new to add so it sticks. It’s not like I have a profession or any other defining characteristics to offer instead.

That’s because there is a difference from being lucky and having the Talent of luck. If you wind the lottery or see a shooting star, you are lucky. If you have the talent... it’s just expected.

It’s boring...
