[Adra's in his little apartment kitchen when he broadcasts this, wearing an apron and presiding over several bowls of various ingredients--blueberries, strawberries, cream, sugar, eggs, flour, etc. His elf ears have shifted to the Cordis cat's--a slightly darker shade of blond than his hair and very fluffy. His long, cream-colored tail swishes about as he talks. His voice is as deep and booming as ever, but there's a brighter tone to it--strangely upbeat.]

Bal'a dash. I hope the evening finds you all well and warm. I just have a few quick words.

[He starts slicing a strawberry as he goes on.]

Many of you arrived here already gifted in the ways of magic. But I've met several others who have never had such powers before. I've seen confusion and anxiety due to this, and I want you all to know that I'd be glad to help, if I can.

[He twirls his flour-dusted finger, and a ribbon of sparkling Light dances around his hand.]

Though I've devoted myself to the priesthood in recent years, I was once a mage of some skill--had apprentices, even. If you need instruction or advice in the ways of magic, please don't hesitate to call on me.

[The Light fades as he bows his head slightly, his furry ears twitching.]

My name is Adrasteius, and I'm at your disposal.

I don't know about that. But I like to make the best of it, wherever I am.

[He sweeps the chopped strawberries into a clean bowl, then starts cracking the eggs.]

Ah, they're just tarts. Nothing special.

[A pause.]

[He rubs his chin, his own eyebrows furrowing.]

I suppose I could, but I'm not sure what you'd really get out of it.

Yes, of course. The Light is with me always--and with anyone else who chooses to accept it.

[ Steve doesn't spend much time on the moonblessed's network, much as he hadn't engaged with social media all that much back home. It's a good way to keep track of people and to also stay apprised of everything happening throughout Lunatia, but a lot of it isn't relevant to him.

It makes him feel a lot older than his thirty-some years, most of the time.

This announcement brings a familiar face, though one he hasn't seen in a while. And an offer that's at least of some interest to him. ]

Nice to see you again, Adrasteius. [ Steve offers a brief smile of his own. Sanguis has already passed, so he's free of any extra ears or tails. ] Know anything about fire magic?

[He smiles as Steve's face pops up on his device; he remembers him as a polite, thoughtful man, someone who seemed wise beyond his youthful features.

At the question, he lifts the hand not holding an egg and holds out his cupped palm. A small sphere of white-hot, golden flame bursts to life.]

It was once my specialty.

Seeing as last time we met was under dire circumstances, I can ask you now more properly about your world and what sort of magic you possess. I assume priesthood would be some manner of light or holy magic?

[ The few he'd met aboard the Grandcypher's crew leaned towards healing and light magic, but he isn't sure if that applies to other worlds. ]

[Adra coughs as he recalls those previous circumstances, which indeed felt dire at the outset--and then turned to just painfully awkward. He rubs his throat as he briefly recalls that sense of drifting disassociation that came with his ghostly state. An unpleasant time, but--there's a question being asked.]

The Light is holy magic, yes. The divine energy of creation.

[Adra pauses in his mixing, then leans towards the device, his ears pricking forward.]

Anything you'd like.

(Kanda's skepticism is evident on his face as he watches this .. magic - man-cat at work. Once he's decided on a response he flatly states:)

How can you help exactly? People with or without magic, is there a certain type of magic you can cultivate in others, or ... is priesthood and mage supposed to be code words that call a certain type of magic wielder to you?

[If Adra's bothered by the attitude, he gives no sign of it--just keeps on mixing whatever he's got in his bowl.]

My own practice these days is focused on my religion. I wouldn't deny any sincere initiate into that tradition, but it'd take years of study. As far as magecraft goes, it did generally deal with the elemental magic that the moonblessings grant us.

[Stir, stir.]

But I'm not trying to draw in anyone specific. I'm offering counsel to people who are frightened and confused by their new powers. Direction. Emotional support.

A magician with a name that's a mouthful saying that he's at the disposal of us here in Lunatia. I'll consider this my lucky day, then. I do like a handsome man at my disposal.

I wonder, do you provide other services that aren't magical in nature? I'm afraid I'm full up on magic.

[His cheeks color slightly at this response--the tips of his ears, too. He clears his throat.]

What--what are you imagining?

[He's got his fruit knife hovering just above a strawberry. He glances down at it, frowning slightly.]
