01. TEXT
( It has taken Rita most of the time she's spent in Lunatia thus far to understand enough of this 'technology' to send out a broadcast. She's not the type to let such a little hurdle as unfamiliarity get in the way of reporting the news, and she is glad to announce her success with her very first article! )
UNDEAD YET DEADLY
The inhabitants of Lunatia might seem an uncouth lot, with their scales and their horns and other extraneous appendages. However, the natives of this world appear positively genteel when compared to who, or should I say, what walks amongst us, attempting to blend quietly into the shadows. Fortunately, I, Rita Skeeter, freelance journalist-for-hire, am here to shed light on the situation.
The Moonblessed by the name of ‘Ambrosine’, is a self-confessed practitioner of the Dark Arts. She is also known to post on this network under the alias of ‘undyingsoul’, which should tell you everything you need to know already. If you still require an explanation, know this: every magical child from the youngest of ages is taught that death is permanent. Any individual who attempts to meddle with mortality is faced with a fate worse than death: the eternal corruption of the soul.
Why does this matter, you might ask?
Those of you from my own world might know of the evilest Dark Wizard of our time, a man so evil that even after his defeat we still refuse to speak his name, only referring to him as He Who Must Not Be Named. In the name of ideological superiority and in search for the secrets of immortality, this Dark Wizard murdered thousands of people, witches, wizards and Muggles alike.
To use a more local frame of reference: as many of you will know, the city is still recovering from the aftermath of the rampages of another Dark Wizard, Asmodeus, who used his powers to control the minds of many innocent bystanders. Could Lunatia withstand another attack so soon?
While Ambrosine has not shown any untoward predilections to violence yet in her time here, evidence suggests she has so far murdered one innocent person in her quest for immortality thus far, as well as a unicorn (a most sacred magical animal).
How many more deaths will she cause? Can this type of individual truly be allowed to walk around our society unchecked? My recommendation would be to lock her up and throw away the key before she can cause any more harm to befall others.
After all, there’s enough to get used to in this new society without wondering about murderers in our midst. As so succinctly put by local resident, the charming thirty-six-year-old Mr. Valmont: it’s positively exhausting!

[ She'll do her best to keep her composure. ]
You can only account for one. This is a dangerous path you walk; there are others here that won't take kindly to being singled out. The undead and revenants? What's next? Those who were not born of human blood?
Spare me the hyperbole. I've seen what happens to those who wish to disrupt the balance of death and life. Things that would make this person look like a lamb.
Also voice
Of course she's going to prey on other mortal races next. Once filth like her tires of one victim, they always hunger for another.
And another.
She will never be satisfied until she drags everyone else as low as she is.

[ At the moment, referring Rita as a person doesn't feel right. For all that she knows and experienced with the Otherworld, Gwenhwyfar is leery. ]
I don't have to be told that. I know. I've seen what happens and it always starts with some ridiculous rumor. If that weren't the case, I wouldn't be missing an eye.

I've made mistakes in my own world, but she's a damn fool if she acts like the rest of us haven't.
She can jump to whatever conclusions she wants. The fact of the matter is that at least in my world, the kind of dark magic she speaks of doesn't exist.
It's a fairy tale people concoct because they don't want to acknowledge that the reason a mage turns to evil isn't because of any taboo magic.
It's just for the same reason anyone else does.

Because the fact of the matter, she is right: dark magic isn't the reason why anyone turns evil. The old magic from eastern lands, far beyond Briton, dark magic that her teacher had shown her. ]
If it wasn't magic that was done in this world, then it doesn't matter.
[ And, well, Gwenhwyfar's thoughts on Rita can be summed up as "ok, boomer". ]
No magic is really taboo, it is all a matter of one's intention with the magic. So be it, if she finds herself torn to pieces for her words, it is no one's fault but her own.

I ruled over a kingdom of necromancers, so I'm no stranger to horrible assumptions.

Then let us hope it's a merciful death.
[ Ever so sarcastic. ]
I may be young but I've seen my fair share of equal magic. Things I will not utter around this idiot or here. But I do hope you at least heed my plea that perhaps you'll be careful what you tell others. Death is already a complicated transition without magic.

voice;
[ Tersely, and as calm as she can. ]
Why do you want to know? If you fear the dead, you should also fear that they may have their eyes upon you. Dark magic shouldn't be spoken about and what belongs in the Otherworld must stay in the Otherworld.
