[Seriously though, what has she been doing here if he is saying that??? Poor job at being a housemate for sure, talking with him again feels like... a breather after feeling bad??? Something like that maybe. Either way, if Shirou needs to go to ask help from the network then Rin is doing a seriously bad job at one of the possible reasons why Kiritsugu invited her to live here. Helping him with Chroma should be an obvious part of that, yes? Too bad she and Shirou are both stupid and it's honestly been a lot to deal with here even if Rin doesn't talk about things...

Well, it's not like it's too late to change things and it's not like she needs to be an ice queen around him. That would be stupid even if she is great at going back to that. Feeling like the worst friend ever right now but also not going to say that to him since she doesn't want to make Shirou feel bad okay!!

[It's really easy to notice just how cute Rin can be when she's flustered. Shirou offers her an encouraging smile and then chuckles gently at the comment about already having one Archer to deal with.

Despite all of the sympathy he has towards Archer's situation, there's still always going to be something about that future version of himself that rubs his the wrong way.]

We can both make time for each other.

Back home, in my timeline, we have to spend all of this time preparing to fight this terrible Shadow monster. It's already taken Saber and Berserker and who knows what will happen if we don't stop it. I don't know what it's like in your timeline, but given how things work for us, I'm betting it's pretty bad too?

It will be kind of nice to hang out without it being a do-or-die siutation, don't you think?

If Rin talking like that about Archer is what it takes then boy, does she have a lot to say. Mostly about the one back in her timeline, really, that comment was aimed at him too instead of the one here... Even if he could be as bad, but surprise, he hasn't been... Not like he's nice all the time either but whatever.

Berserker too, huh? Sounds way too easy compared to the fight against it in Rin's timeline ... which makes that Shadow sound .... some hell of a bad news.

... Hahah, her timeline? Rin's been serious while she's listening to him but now she seems even more serious. Aaaaalso walking to the fridge and looking in there while she'll talk, don't look at her right now and so on.]

Nope, nothing like a really bad sounding Shadow monster there. Just [a beat, another.] Caster stealing Saber from you and Archer deciding to join her side because as he said it, she's his superior Master now. So, now we're both servantless and it's only halfway through the war or something like that.

[She'll... Let him think about that part before possibly telling more. One glance to her still empty hand. Stupid memories, even when she has figured it out from Lancer. Yep, still stings either way. She'll just leave it unsaid that Shirou is her lifesaver around that time too, literally, sounds like a good plan.]

We got a breather before any of that, it was a nice day until Caster showed up to force Saber as her Servant, so there's ... that. [Deep breath.] But maybe we'll get more of those here, assuming every month doesn't end with a monster or situation, that's trying to kill us.

[ Those can't be worse than any bad news from home anyway. ]
