Last time I took a really long nap, when I woke up my clothes didn't fit anymore and all of my friends told me they had completely forgotten about me. That was weird. But not the weirdest thing that ever happened to me.

This time, I woke up and was crystal the whole time. Whatever. It's still not the weirdest thing. I've seen some way weirder stuff. And Riku did this crystal thing first.

Anyway, I'm Sora. Don't any of you forget about me!

[After a moment he adds, which a mischevious smile,] Especially you guys who want to.

When was the first time you saw me? [Sora asks, genuinely curious what Roxas's experience had been. He knows everyone had told him he was the one who needed to be complete, even Roxas had said that in the dream, but he still had so little understanding of what had actually happened there. Even the memories that Roxas had given him in the dream were more feelings than concrete details.]

[ Oh right, Sora wouldn't remember that. Which is weird to think about considering how pivotal the moment was in Roxas' life. ]

You were sleeping in some white pod. Ansem, er, the real one, arranged things so I would find you.

[ His feelings had been a real mess back then. Confusion, resistance, despair and so much anger. But all that had seemed to suddenly fade back the instant he saw Sora. The one who was really chosen. He felt then that he should have hated him, hated him for robbing him of everything just by existing. But how could he? Everyone was right. Being around Sora just made him feel... complete. Right.

And warm. How could he do anything but give Sora back what everyone said was his? Not Roxas'. ]

I called you. Before everything...

[ Went away.

He runs a hand through his hair. ]

Anyway, that was the first time. It felt similar but... not quite.

I'm sorry I couldn't answer.

[Sora replies. He can tell there's something about this memory is complicated for Roxas. He rubs his hand lightly against Roxas's arm, establishing another point of physical comfort.]

But now I can. I promise I'll answer you whenever I can from now on. [At least for as long as they were both here on this world together, and if Sora managed to stay physical after that.]

I didn't think you would.

[ Honestly, he still doesn't know if Sora even heard him.

He glances at that hand before taking it. ]

Don't worry about it. I can always hear you now. You're impossible to miss.

Hey, should I take that as an insult? Are you calling me loud? [He teases with a smug smile as he squeezes Roxas's hand lightly.]

You are loud.

Lucky for you, I'm used to people like that.

Now I'm thinking that means you think Lea is loud too. I'm gonna tell him!

[terribletwos]

Him and Hayner.

[ No shame about this whatsoever. He'd just as easily call Axel loud to his face. ]

You might have them beat though.

[He laughs gently at that, amused at how straight forward Roxas is.]

If Hayner shows up here we should maybe start a rock band.

A rock band?

Yeah! Because rock music is loud!

I don't think I've ever actually heard it before. But it sounds like the kind of thing you guys would be into. You'll have to let Demyx join though. Since he actually knows how to play.

Think we can convince him to teach us?

[terribletwos]

Are you kidding? He would probably jump on it. He's all about that stuff. We used to say his sitar was something precious he couldn't bear to lose.

[ Even when they believed they couldn't actually care about things. ]

[Sora seems to seriously consider that.]

Huh. Did he have it from before he was a Nobody do you think?

[terribletwos]

[ Roxas shakes his head. ]

Dunno. None of them ever talked about the past. Even Axel. I guess it was weird to say it out loud.

But it had to have been important, right? Or he wouldn't have always carried it around.

Do you think he remembers his life before? Or would it be rude to ask about that kind of stuff?

[terribletwos]

[ Roxas shifts a bit, leaning back more into the couch but not breaking contact from Sora. ]

Axel said all of the others did. He said that's what made them special. Xion and me were the only ones who had nothing to remember...

[ Since well... ]

It might not be so bad to ask now.

[ Xemnas no longer had power over any of them. Even if Demyx was still a Nobody unlike most of the others, he was a free one. ]

Maybe I will, then.

It's just... Before the hearts started to regrow, he still had something he cared about enough to keep. It just goes to show how powerful those feelings can be.

[terribletwos]

Yeah. That's a good way to think about it.

I don't think everything was gone for them. Just... lost. They needed help to find it again.

And they found you.

Well... more like I beat them up and then they found each themselves again.

[terribletwos]

[ Roxas snorts. ]

I didn't say what happened after they found you! I still don't really get how that whole thing works.

[ Despite Axel's attempts to explain it. He'd only ever known the Organization members as their Nobody selves. And now most of them were someone else. Even Axel was a little different. Though not as much as he seemed to think. ]

Me either. [Sora admits with some amusement.

That's not saying much though, he barely understands anything that's going on.]

But I know they're re-completed. They aren't like you and me. They aren't two different people, just the same person but missing something.

That means that Lea is still sorta Axel but also... not really? But you, you're still Roxas. You'll always be Roxas. That's pretty awesome isn't it?

[terribletwos]

[ Roxas never paid too much attention to the other Organization members but... ]

Axel is Axel. Just more likely to cry sometimes.

[ He gives a hint of a playful grin before shifting his gaze again. ]

But I know it's not the same as me and Naminé. Or even Xion. That used to make us feel so weird, that we were missing even more than everyone else. And for a while, what people said about being half of you made a sort of sense. It felt that way too.

Until it didn't... When you reminded me that I was Roxas.

[ Roxas lets out a soft breath of laughter, thinking about Sora's last phrasing. ]

Yeah, it's pretty awesome.

[ To be his own person again. ]

[Sora smiles at that. He likes thinking that Roxas is comfortable as his own Somebody.]

I'm so glad to here you say that. Well, maybe not the part about those guys making you feel like you were missing something, but the part where you say it's awesome now.

At least we're going to be able to build an awesome future for you, Namine, and Xion. That's what matters most right now.
