Um, hello. My name is Confidence, and I wanted to ask a few questions. If that's okay?

There's been talk about undeath and serious things, so I figured it could be nice to focus on the seasonal festivities! I've heard it is called Firalia here, but others call it Christmas?

My home country has something similar, but it doesn't take place in winter...

So I... um... I wondered if anyone would like to share how they celebrate at home...? Especially what they eat and things you do with family and friends.

Some worlds here are so similar it's eerie, yet there always seems to be something that's off...

I think most places would have some kind of celebration for the new year, no matter when it is. Unless they don't have years? It's nice to know that the equinoxes are celebrations in other places than mine, though.

Can I ask what the name of your world is?

One Earth out of many. There are others here from the same one, if at a couple different points in time - we've been able to point to enough shared history to know that for certain. [As well as the Persona business.] Whether it overlaps with any other variation, I can't say for certain. I wouldn't be surprised in either direction, though.

Christmas is a holiday rooted in Earth events, which is why it's so commonly spoken of.

So many Earths... it seems like a really popular plane.

Do you personally plan to celebrate Christmas here? Or just do Firalia?

I realised on a previous holiday that sometimes I can handle the local religious holidays and sometimes I"m not interested in participating. It'll likely depend on what the celebrations look like.

As for Christmas, that would entirely depend on whether something suitable could be arranged.

That's very true. I hope it's something like what people have been describing Christmas like, it sounds so nice.

What would be suitable for Christmas? Any specific foods or anything like that?

Given that the aspect I'm most interested in is the church service, I'm not certain how practical it'll be. That said, so far the celebrations look more like the aspects of Christmas I'm used to seeing around town at home, so overall I don't think this one will bother me as much.

As far as food, that depends on where you are. Fried chicken is popular at home, for some reason.

Maybe there are clerics and priests from your world here that can give a service? I'm sure it could be important to a lot of Earth people. Either way, I hope you'll have a nice time.

Fried chicken? Huh. I guess I could manage that.

I'm not certain why it took off the way it did, or what Christmas dinner looks like in other parts of the world. I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you, though.

..and I'll look into it! I want to make something nice for my friends, even if I'm not a great cook.

I wouldn't recommend starting with fried food - it's tricky to get right, and if something goes wrong you have hot oil to deal with. Otherwise, find a good recipe and stick to it, and you probably won't go too wrong.
