Well, that was definitely an interesting way to start off our stay...

[ It's been a couple of days and everyone's hopefully had some time to process and recover, so now is probably as good a time as any to pose this question, get people's minds off of what all just happened. It's being shot from an apartment living room with a view of the city from a window in the background. ]

My name is Serah Farron, and I have a question for the other... moon blessed here. [ She says a bit unsure, no air-quotes, but they're implied. ]

If it's not too personal to ask, I'm curious what kind of backgrounds and worlds other people come from. Was it very different from this one, or is it sort of the same?

I used to be a time traveler, and I enjoy learning about history, besides. I'd appreciate any answers, thanks!

Um... I'm sorry? [ No really what- She clearly isn't offended, but surprised, and maybe alarmed, and concerned?! ] We didn't really have a choice. We were trying to stop someone else from destroying the timeline...

I understand that you probably did not know about this rule. And, it is hard not to act when someone threatens your existence. I know about that all too well.

[No trouble today! Besides, it sounds like some Kai wasn't doing their job in her universe. They should have stopped whoever was destroying the timeline!]

Please, I ask of you to never do that again. The disruption you could cause would be unprecedented. The fate of entire civilizations can hinge on one act.

[ For a moment Serah's expression is lightly surprised, but then she goes suspiciously quiet.

And then he'll hear Noel in the background. ]

Yeah, we know. [Not only can he be heard, but he can also now be seen, leaning over Serah's shoulder to speak.] Sure would have been great if someone could have told us that before all of this.

[ After glancing at Noel Serah nods, seeming to find her voice again. ]

No one will be doing it again. Once we resolved the final time paradox the gates were all permanently sealed. And there's no one left with the means to open a time gate.

[ Though there's apparently the little matter of the world already getting fucked over, it was less to do with the time gates and more to do with being tricked into unleashing the Unseen Chaos into the world. ]

Noel is right, though, it's a little too late for that now.

I see. You managed to fix the paradoxes created. Where I will not condone what you've done, I understand. And, as long as you understand the consequences.

[He breathes out heavily, definitely not expecting to tackle this subject today.]

I do hope everything worked out for the both of you in the end. Time is a tricky matter.

[Oh, Kai. It worked out the complete opposite of okay.

Like, it worked out so far from okay that it was going to take the light from 'okay' ten million years to reach them.

It doesn't show on camera, but Noel puts a hand over Serah's, because honestly, this is a pretty touchy subject.]

Believe me, we both understand far better than you know. [You know what time it is? Subject changing time.] So, is time travel a big problem in your world?

[He definitely got the clue. He drops the matter and gladly answers Noel's question.]

Not on a whole, though we have had one that has created multiple timelines because of his meddling. [TRUNKS] Not even the gods themselves are really allowed to do much themselves, unless it is for observation purposes only. And even then, we are not allowed to go back in time, only forward.

(ooc: That way I won't hold you guys up if you wanna keep going. Aurora has my permission to auto Serah as being busy with answering other threads or something as needed. :) )

[ He might not see the gesture, but the small smile of appreciation she gives Noel is perhaps just as telling. Her attention returns to the feed where she nods, offering her agreement. They understand, and now it's time to discuss something a little less heavy. ]

I can understand why. And besides the obvious risks to history, it's pretty exhausting for the people involved... [ She worried less about herself and more about Mog and Noel, and whether they'd have the energy to finish what they started, so this isn't an attempt at a pity party. It's just that she wouldn't wish that danger on anyone. ] There were some days that I wasn't even sure how long we'd been traveling. I'm glad that it's do- wait did you just say "we"??

No need for apologies. [He smiles somewhat mysteriously, and bows his head for the both of them.] I am known as the Supreme Kai. I'm sorry for omitting such an important detail from our conversation. There truly isn't any need for formalities. I've come here just the same as anyone else.

I'm good with a little mix of both/mostly the latter, if just because my schedule can be sporadic!
