one; a letter. ( un: sansastark )
[ sansa, when she finally understands the purpose of the strange, sleek brace she's been given, carefully taps out a letter for all that it might interest. ]
My heartfelt greetings to all that this letter may find.
My name is Sansa of House Stark, daughter of Eddard, Warden of The North. I write regarding the inclement weather that plagues the city now. The snow is harsh, and heavy, and to judge by the bite of the wind, it will be no less cruel.
I seek aid. I do not know how to hunt game, nor do I understand most of the meals sold in the glass-windowed shops found in this city. As well, I need cloths, and needle and thread, to fashion clothes that will stand the coming weather. I hope to sustain myself here, but know not how or where to begin. I can only offer my skills with needlework in exchange for any help.
I would be indebted for any kindness given.
( OOC: accompanying log can be found here! )

We're mostly kind souls here, given to bouts of spontaneous charity!
Where might you be, in this most inhospitable weather?
Home, I should hope!

Surely it would be much better for us to trade on our skills, and be useful?

Of course, there's always demi-chroma, which you could gain from a steady job.
Perhaps it's something to think on, when this dreadful weather clears up a bit!
In the meantime, perhaps it might be best to survive by producing and paying with Chroma.
You'll find you generate it quite naturally from the simplest of touches.

Would holding another's hand suffice? And would my consent, if not given, matter?
You'll have to forgive me, my background is traditional in many respects. That I am travelled to a strange place, unchaperoned, would have been frowned upon back home.
no subject
The hand-holding, that is.
Having never Moonlaced without the express consent and, if you pardon the implication, enthusiasm of a partner, I don't feel I can answer that question fully.
[ Unless fighting counted. Did it? Ardyn supposed he had, in some way, consented to both of those scuffles, no matter how brutal one had been. ]
But if your background and sensibilities prohibit you from easily Moonlacing, then perhaps finding a paying job would be best, no matter the weather :)
You claim to be good with a needle and thread. Might I direct you to the shopping districts on level 2?
There are some tailors there, and they do tend to be a little less glittery than the ones in PrismaPlace!

[ she breathes easier, at least. her agency will not be interfered with - sansa's respects for the gods here (and surely there are gods, of some sort, in spirit if not in name) are raised in increments. ]
I would like to see them, if it pleases. Do you know the way?
no subject
Let me introduce myself:
Ardyn Izunia, erstwhile Chancellor of Niflheim!
But, well, I'm a low politician at the Lunar Scientia here, so 'Ardyn' or 'Mr. Izunia' can suffice, if you don't want to be fancy :)
May I assume that yours is some cutting of 'sansastark' then, my lady?
Now, onto your question: yes!
I do know the way :)
Would you like written direction, or verbal?
no subject
I've only ever been called a lady - my sister and brothers, and my parents, well, they alone have called me by my name. If it please my lord, please call me as he feels comfortable with. To learn about a new place is to learn its customs, yes?
Either instruction would be welcome. Perhaps even a meeting in person, if time permits?

She also hadn't confirmed her name, which left him rather neatly with 'my lady' despite her pretty sentence. Clever girl! ]
Oh, well if you're certain, I can be found at the Lunar Scientia.
Do you know how to get there? It's the large building in upper Lunatia.
If not, then I can give you directions from whatever starting point you'd like :) simply pick one and I'll fire them off!
no subject
If it pleases, I'll have the directions.
[she names her closest landmark, a park with an ornate fountain, seated at the middle of it a group of statues of maidens contorted in-- pleasure, maybe, rictus expressions etched deeply into the stone. sansa doesn't like them one bit.]
no subject
Rather gauche, if you don't mind my saying, but, well, as they said in my day, de gustibus non disputandum est.
Now, as for the Lunar Scientia, where you can ask for Ardyn Izunia...
[ And he proceeded to give her directions to the Lunar Scientia, where she could get her questions answered by whoever she wanted, or seek him out. He was hard to miss even in this cold, with the layers he had draped himself in. ]]
