one; a letter. ( un: sansastark )

[ sansa, when she finally understands the purpose of the strange, sleek brace she's been given, carefully taps out a letter for all that it might interest. ]

My heartfelt greetings to all that this letter may find.

My name is Sansa of House Stark, daughter of Eddard, Warden of The North. I write regarding the inclement weather that plagues the city now. The snow is harsh, and heavy, and to judge by the bite of the wind, it will be no less cruel.

I seek aid. I do not know how to hunt game, nor do I understand most of the meals sold in the glass-windowed shops found in this city. As well, I need cloths, and needle and thread, to fashion clothes that will stand the coming weather. I hope to sustain myself here, but know not how or where to begin. I can only offer my skills with needlework in exchange for any help.

I would be indebted for any kindness given.

[The sound of hoof beats on the packed earth path is the first sign that Sansa's would-be host is on her way to the farmstead's entrance off the main road through the agricultural section of the Groves. From a distance, it does seem to be a woman on horseback at a canter... but as she gets closer...

No, that's a woman who's body blends seamlessly into that of a dark chestnut mare, dressed in simple homespun top tied shut with hide about her "waist" and a skirt-like fabric for modesty on her rump. She's smiling, at least, slowing to a trot and then a walk until she comes closer, raising her hand in a tentative wave.]

Hello, there- Are you... Sansa of House Stark? Please say "yes"!

[Otherwise, this will be a little awkward, won't it?]

[It’s a response Konoha had never really gotten in her world, her village was near the mountains and the nearby towns had more than enough Jinba in them for the humans there to all know the sight well, but... she’s grown used to it here. All she does is smile and wave the apology away, dipping into a low bow once she stands (and towers over) close enough.]

You don’t need to apologize! Most people here haven’t met a jinba before, so it’s fine. That’s me!

[She pats a hand over her breast, “me”, a light laugh on the edge of her words.]

You don’t need to call me “lady” or anything, though! I’m just a lumber worker! Or- I was a lumber worker, now I’m more a farmer, I guess...

[Either way, nothing that warranted a title.]

Likewise, Miss Sansa!

[Even though she's just said that she herself didn't need any honorific, Konoha attaches one to the human woman's name. Force of habit, hailing from a world in which she was one of the lower ranks of social class. Not that she found anything wrong with that, but... when meeting new women it was just more likely they be the sort who required titles.

Thinking about clothes pulls Konoha's gaze back down to her simple, homespun kimono, absently plucking at the hide pelt around her "waist", trying to imagine what she'd look like in a dress more like how humans wore. ... Silly, probably.]

Ehe, yeah, this is what I meant about not really being able to wear dresses...

[Not that she minded... ! But the question seems to catch her off guard, not used to being asked "someone" so much as "some occasion". A few blinks later, though, she lets out a small laugh, one hoof pawing the ground a bit self-consciously.]

I guess the only one I'm dressing for is my husband... ? Not that men really notice a lady's clothes most of the time...
