Hey, so...I'm sure by now everybody's seen the weather reports, right? Hailstorms and blizzards on the way with temperatures expected below zero. Boy, it got cold back home in the winter, but this forecast sounds like it's really going to be something else in the next week or so.

Anyway, mostly I just wanted to make the announcement that for safety reasons, Beans! Cat Cafe is going to be temporarily closed during the bad weather. We'll miss seeing our guests around, but it sounds like most people are going to be heading for Nevei Forest anyway, and I'd much rather everyone stay safe than try to brave the storms just to hang out with our cats for a while.

Speaking of, don't worry about them — we've been wintering up the building as best we can, and I've made arrangements to have the cats checked on and fed while the storms are going on, so they should be okay riding it out here in the city. I know it's not ideal, but it should still be a lot better than trying to move all of them to Nevei, definitely.

At least the storms are only supposed to last a week...

Boy, speaking of that, it's really easy to lose track of how time flies around here, don't you think? I counted today and it's only eighteen days left until my birthday. Eighteen! That's nothing at all, I can't believe it's coming up so soon. Which reminds me, I need to schedule a doctor's appointment...

But anyway! That's really what I wanted to say, so I hope everybody stays safe in the weeks to come, and we'll look forward to seeing you back at Beans! once the blizzards are over!

"A bit" sounds like it's a pretty big understatement!

And yeah, January 6th! In western astrology that makes me a Capricorn, and in the Chinese zodiac, I'm a Fire Horse. That's actually supposed to make me super unlucky! Which...I guess I am, depending on how you look at it, but stuff like horoscopes and fortune-telling is really just for fun anyway.

I'm a Wood Tiger and a Scorpio in western astrology. October 28th. Can't say it was an ideal birthday.
I guess it's more fun if you aren't "unlucky" but Scorpios are supposed to be a "bad" sign. Guess you and me are similar, ha ha. ;)

I've had to stand out in a blizzard before and brrrr. It's not a fun experience! No thank you, I'll stay where it's warm.

Mmm, Scorpios are supposed to be kind of chaotic, right? Unpredictable and cunning, or something like that? I don't think those are necessarily bad traits at all. But there's a pretty popular belief that Fire Horse girls are rebellious and proud and family-ruiners. Supposedly they'll drive their fathers and husbands to an early grave so no one wants to be around them! Isn't that awful?

Well, take care this isn't your round two. I'm going to stick around a bit since it seems the city'll be a ghost town. Good time to investigate things.

HA HA something like that, yeah. Tenacious, I guess? I guess it's sort of those traits that are considered negative by most but can be utilized in a way that are positive.

I mean sounds like a lot of BS. One thing if you choose it, but I hate when people put weight on a woman for that sort of thing when it's typically the man at fault.

Don't know a lot about Wood/Tiger other than it's supposed to be a very confident sign I guess?

Oh, gosh, I don't remember that much about the particulars, I wouldn't be able to tell you anything for sure. I know Tigers are supposed to be strong and courageous, and Wood-type people are easygoing, I think. So I guess it'd be something like, a strong but laid-back sort of person, right? I think that kind of suits you, actually!

Nothing in particular I'm looking into! I'm just curious about the city and how it might operate without Prismals around.
Might be something to uncover about why we're here? Who knows.

You definitely know a lot more than me. Capricorn's a water sign, though, right? Doesn't that mean you adapt well?

Capricorn is earth, actually! Which is kind of weird because the animal that goes with it is the sea goat...I never really understood that one much. But I guess astrology is just kind of silly all around, you know? If it's fun, it doesn't have to make much sense.

...Oh, I see what you're getting at, though, about the city. Because it runs on chroma energy, right? And if we're not here, then who's going to be powering it?

And Aquarius is air, isn't it? I don't pretend to get it. I've never been into it, but I guess it could be pretty fun to mess with it.

You got it. Will everything shut down? Who knows.

Yeah, only Pisces gets to be water, even though all those others are really water-oriented. I guess it's more fun when you're a kid with your friends and you don't think too hard about it? I remember being really into that kind of thing when I was in school, but the more I think about it lately the sillier it seems.

Well, if everything shuts down, make sure you come to the resort in a hurry, okay? I don't want you to be stranded either!

All I'm taking from this is I need to brush up a little on this. Especially since I deal with strange puzzles used as locks occasionally where I'm from. Only a matter of time before I get hit up with it.

I guess it's one of the things that happens when you get older. Absolutes become more important.
I think, anyway.

Ha ha, yeah, I can't say I'd love it. I've been stuck in snowed in towns before and from the way they're making it sound it's gonna be pretty bad.
