Hey, so...I'm sure by now everybody's seen the weather reports, right? Hailstorms and blizzards on the way with temperatures expected below zero. Boy, it got cold back home in the winter, but this forecast sounds like it's really going to be something else in the next week or so.
Anyway, mostly I just wanted to make the announcement that for safety reasons, Beans! Cat Cafe is going to be temporarily closed during the bad weather. We'll miss seeing our guests around, but it sounds like most people are going to be heading for Nevei Forest anyway, and I'd much rather everyone stay safe than try to brave the storms just to hang out with our cats for a while.
Speaking of, don't worry about them — we've been wintering up the building as best we can, and I've made arrangements to have the cats checked on and fed while the storms are going on, so they should be okay riding it out here in the city. I know it's not ideal, but it should still be a lot better than trying to move all of them to Nevei, definitely.
At least the storms are only supposed to last a week...
Boy, speaking of that, it's really easy to lose track of how time flies around here, don't you think? I counted today and it's only eighteen days left until my birthday. Eighteen! That's nothing at all, I can't believe it's coming up so soon. Which reminds me, I need to schedule a doctor's appointment...
But anyway! That's really what I wanted to say, so I hope everybody stays safe in the weeks to come, and we'll look forward to seeing you back at Beans! once the blizzards are over!

When is your birthday? Is it coming up soon!

[ Reimi is going to get mommed now!! ]
The 20th. While I'll be celebrating my birthday, I think I won't call myself a year older just yet. That feels a little odd...

What! Oh, that's REALLY close! From the way you were talking I would've thought it was at least a week or two away still!
But...yeah, I know what you mean, about time making things a little strange like that. I actually don't even really know how old to call myself on my birthday, either. But I guess I'll have to pick a number and settle on it, right?

There's nothing wrong with that. :) I think I'd like to remain 17 until I'm back in my world. Although if I develop signs of aging, then that really can't be helped.

Ugh, don't, just age like everybody else. Staying the same is the worst.

You don't think it's a good idea?

This, um. This might sound kind of really weird? But I have some...personal experience with staying the same age even when more than one year goes by. So I mean, if that makes you happy then that's good! I'm just biased when it comes to that.

In my experience, when I was in a previous world, I celebrated my birthday there, then went back to Japan and I was sixteen again. I had no recollection of my time in the previous world, and I spent a year back home before finding myself back in that world again. I repeated a year of aging, I suppose you could say.
