(Sanguis has blessed her and no one can tell her differently. Daenerys is standing before a mirror, running her fingertips over the horns protruding from her head. However those additions do not thrill her as much as the leathery wings on her back.

If her smile makes you feel a bit uncomfortable, that is understandable. The scales on her cheeks and the fact that her blue eyes are anything but human don't help matters, however there is an undefinable quality about her. Perhaps this isn't a blessing after all.)

Am I a monster? (Her hands shake as she presses her talons against her cheeks.) Is this...me? Have I always been this?

I need to discover who I am. I thought I knew...

(Now she is tired and confused. If she isn't a queen or a conqueror, what is she? A mother, perhaps, and a protector. She glances at the sword she commissioned and her dagger.)

This is a strange place to become someone new.

[ Rey lets out a half laugh, nodding her head again. ]

Yes, it is. But maybe that's a good thing.

How? (She frowns faintly, wondering what Rey sees.) I would like to see some good in it. I feel like I'm trapped out at sea.

[ Rey exhales, rubbing the side of her neck a little self-consciously. ]

I can speak from my own experience. At home I have... an enemy. We were bound together by fate, and I had feelings for him that I couldn't... I wouldn't have acted on, while we were enemies. But here... Here things are different. He's letting that part of him go. He always had the capacity to, but without the weight of everything in our own world I think it's been easier for him.

[ She looks a little uncomfortable, talking about it, but also content. ]

It's worth trying to change, and there's plenty of people here willing to help.

(If she hadn't met Jon, fallen in love with him and understood, without a shadow of a doubt, that his allies considered her a foe - or at least someone to treat coolly - Daenerys might find Rey's experiences romantic. But her initial reaction is fear.)

You are walking together on thin ice. What will you do if it cracks under your feet?

He could turn against you. (That is what happened to her.)

I agree changing is worthwhile, but you should never stop being wary.

[ Rey shakes her head, her gaze steady. She understands the concern, and part of it was why she'd been reluctant to be with him for so long. ]

He wouldn't. I know his mind better than anyone.

I hope you never discover you are mistaken. (Can anyone know the mind of another completely? She doesn't believe so, but she admits she is probably jaded on that point.)
