he clears his throat, and a deep voice speaks. ]

Good evening. For those of you who don't know me, my name is V.

I'm looking for people interested in a wine and arts night. Specifically, right now I'm seeking those willing to work as instructors for painting, drawing, and other such mediums, for a modest group of people. I can provide the supplies for such hosting, as well as the space. I'm even prepared to provide monetary pay if that's a sticking point for performing the instructing.

I'm also seeking people willing to pose as models, once I've secured the instructors. And of course, knowing what kind of interest people would have in attending such a thing.

[ he reaches a hand up to brush his hair back. it's starting to get long; someone should tell him about hair bands. ]

I'm looking to host this at least once a month. We seem to lack an entry level experience for the art forms here, and I'd like to change that. And I don't think most people would turn up a chance for some good wine.

Then that makes two of us. I've been to some art showings here, but I think sharing that knowledge could be quite fruitful.

I have an appreciation for it, but I am not very skilled with pencil or brush myself.

Me neither, 'less you count engineerin' work. I draw a lot of mechanical blueprints. But I got a real appreciation for anyone who can use a brush.

Engineering work is an art form in and of itself. But I can admit that is something less easily taught in an introductory setting.

I have some skill with words, myself. But I've no interest in holding a poetry session.

Couldn't agree more. I play guitar too, so I ain't gonna deny my creative bone. I could try coverin' some basic engineering, but I'm guessin' that's not what you're goin' for.

Perhaps a music night would be something else worth pursuing if this pays off.

I'm sure it works better in a formal setting to teach, admittedly. And I do, occasionally, though I prefer reading it.

Nothin' wrong with that either. I like lookin' at paintings more than painting myself. Always appreciate a good Kickasso.

I'm afraid I haven't heard of that particular artist, though it seems he may have taken his name inspiration from another I am familiar with.

What do you generally enjoy designing, as an engineer?

Normally? I'm a weapons sorta man. I've also put together handy sorta things in general, like teleporters and medical dispensers.

Teleporters made from technology. How clever. And what kind of weapons - guns, swords, bombs?

Mostly guns. Some bombs. Made a gun knife once.

More like a gun with a knife on the other end of it.

Kinda like a bayonet, but worse.

It certainly sounds worse than a bayonet. And more likely to injure the user, though I assume they were skilled enough to avoid that.

Nah. I'm pretty familiar with who I made it for. She's definitely skilled enough.
