[ There’s nothing but dead air for a few moments before Persephone finally speaks up, sounding a little nervous. ]

Um… I didn’t expect the red moon to be, um, so much. I sort of lost control and burned a little too much Chroma.

[ A pause. ]

So, um, what I’m asking is if there’s anyone that would like to cuddle? I’ll make it worthwhile! I can bake something or cook you a meal, just as long as it’s vegetarian.

If you do just look for the room that has some vines growing out from the door and into the hallway. [ There's a soft laugh. ]

damn. all the way to the hallway, huh?

[ And sure enough, a good hour or so later Persephone will get a knock at her door. ]

Y-yeah.

[ While Persephone waits she goes about trying to clean up the apartment as best she can. A task that is difficult when most of it is overrun by plants. Though she hasn't been around long enough to accumulate too much of a mess.

When the knock comes she quickly hurries over to the door and opens it, smiling brightly. The pink hand earlier is clearly not because she's wearing gloves but rather because Persephone is pink from head to toe save the white flowers growing in a crown upon her head. ]

Josuke? [ Though she certainly doesn't pronounce his name correctly. ] Um, did I say that right? Sometimes reading a word and pronouncing it correctly can be so difficult.

[ The pink hand he had seen before did raise a brow, but Josuke had assumed it was simply a pair of gloves. He doesn't expect to find a woman pink from head to toe with flowers growing out of his head. ]

Yo, Pink -- I mean, Persephone. [ At least they're even on the mispronunciation front. ] It's Jo-su-ke, but don't worry about it -- You probably aren't Japanese. [ A beat. ] Or human, for that matter, I think ...?

[ Unless she has some tragic skin condition that makes her skin pink and flowers grow out of her head. In that case, he would feel very sorry for being offensive. ]

[ His reaction garners a little chuckle from her. ] Yes, I'm very pink.

[ She repeats his name again, this time working on getting it right. ]

No, I'm not human or even mortal for that matter. Are you familiar with the Greek pantheon?

[nipzips]

[ Yeah, no, he's drawing a blank on that. Josuke just isn't that well-read. He doesn't even have much of a handle on his own Japanese folklore. There's no way he would know about Greek myth. ]

Uhh, is that the one with all the myths? You some kind of god?

[ She lets out a soft laugh. ] There are different pantheons all over but yes. To both questions.

This stuff's confusing enough ... Why do they gotta make more than one?

[ Spoken like a person who does not read (anything but fashion or teen magazines). ]

But that does explain ... all this. [He gestures toward all the flowers blooming where they really shouldn't be. ] You must be the goddess of nature?

[ Persephone can only offer a shrug in response to the first question. She doesn't know a great deal about the other pantheons but could easily get into the history of her own. After all, she is the daughter of one of the Six Dynasty Traitors. ]

Yeah, Goddess of Spring actually. [ If she's honestly she hasn't been too surprised people don't seem to recognize her name. She's young and barely made her mark, though she's made enough of a mark that mortals renamed her... ]

Oh shit, does that mean if it gets too cold this winter you could make it spring if you wanted to?

[ He doesn't actually know how any of it works, or what a god does exactly, so he's just shooting whatever question first comes to mind. ]

I...suppose? I'm not sure how permanent I could make it given that I need Chroma to use my abilities now.

[ She's fine with the questions.

She makes her way toward the kitchen while he comes up with more questions. She pulls out some containers of brownies, cereal treats, baklava, and cinnamon rolls. ]

You got hit with that too, huh? I used to be able to use my Stand freely, but now I gotta keep track of my chroma levels constantly to make sure I don't run so low I die or something.

[It's definitely annoying to have a limit put on something he should be able to do freely, but that's just how this world works and there's nothing that he can do about it. As Persephone heads into the kitchen, however, Josuke starts to follow her, peering curiously at what she's taking out. ]

[ She nods, frowning. ] I have to admit it's a little frustrating. Especially when something like that [ she motions towards all the growth in the living room ] happens when I get...excited. It's like a hormonal teenager all over again!

[ She pushes the containers toward him so he can take his pick. ] What's a Stand?

[nipzips]

... It's a little worse than that. [ He's a teenager right now. They aren't ... horny all the time! Though, they are pretty horny, it's true. ] Didn't know gods grew up too, though.

[ As for what a stand is, he decides it's better to show her. A large pink ghost man appears behind Josuke, staring at Persephone with a serious expression on its face. ] This is a Stand. His name is 'Crazy Diamond'.

[ She's technically not out of her teens yet, but she thought she had a better handle on things and then this place just had to turn that on its head. ]

Of course. Even the older gods were little once.

[ Persephone's eyes widen as the pink humanoid appears behind Josuke. ] Oh! Hello, Crazy Diamond. [ She offers a little wave. She's not sure if this Stand is sentient or not but it's better to be polite. ]

Uhh, he doesn't talk much. [ Or at all, unless Josuke makes him talk or he's yelling out his battle cry. There are sentient Stands, but this isn't one of them. Josuke makes the Stand wave back just so she isn't left hanging. ]

What've you got there? [ On to more important things now -- feeding his hungry boy stomach. ]

Oh! Well, he's certainly interesting.

Lets see, there's cinnamon rolls, baklava, cereal treats, and brownies. [ She flashes a bright smile as she motions to each one in turn. ] You're welcome to as much as you want, I baked quite a bit.

Holy shit, you really went all out. On top of makin' people horny and itching for fights, does Sanguis also give people baking streaks? Damn, wish I lived with one now ...

[ He did live with his best friend for a short period of time, but all Okuyasu did during Sanguis was go crazy and try to fight people. ]

I'm gonna help myself then. [ He's never been one to turn down free food. Josuke picks out a brownie and takes a bite, chewing and swallowing it politely before speaking again. ] Dude, it's pretty good!!

[ Her cheeks darken as she flushes. ] I, erm, n-no? I just really needed a distraction.

[ She smiles, still blushing though now it persists due to the compliment. ] Thanks! I'm glad you like them.

[nipzips]

[ She looks like she has a lot, so he goes ahead and helps himself to a baklava this time. He's a growing boy, after all. They have huge appetites. ]

Where'd you even learn to bake, though? Gods ... have ovens? [ His cartoon brain is just imagining a heavenly cloud oven right now. ]

[ She baked too much, really. ]

From my mother and some of the nymphs that lived with us. And of course, we have to eat too, you know.

Dude, you guys seriously have ovens? [ Cloud ovens!!!! This is just on his mind right now. ]

I thought you'd just use your god-powers to bake or something -- or that you didn't need to eat at all.

[ She lets out a little laugh. ] Olympus is a lot like this place though the technology isn't quite as advanced. In a lot of ways, we're like mortals.

What? So you guys aren't just chilling out in heaven or some shit? I was wondering how ovens would work on a cloud.

[ragingnature]

You mean up in the sky? [ She raises a brow. ] No, Olympus exists, um, sort of parallel to the mortal realm. Connected but not sharing space, if that makes sense.
