She's still wearing her eyepatch, and she's adopted some kind of gothic lolita Lisa Frank Prismal dress code. It's best if you don't look.

And definitely don't come near her; there's the gentle scent of pheromones that'll make you crave the intimate touch of a ridiculous teenager. ]

To speak of the Wicked Lord Shingan's origin is to delve deep into dark lore, the likes of which may confuse a commoner's simple mind.

[Danny hums a little in thought. He doesn't know the exact word for "chuunibyou", but given his line of work, it wouldn't be the first time he's met someone who spoke like this... even if being in this world means that there's a chance that what she's saying is actually true and not just something she's making up.

Still, he tries to humor her nonetheless.]

Well, that's a shame. And here I thought I had found someone who had something in common with me, given my own eye's origins...

[He says, tapping the side of his face near his right eye... if Rikka looks closely at the screen, she might be able to tell that Danny's own eye is not real and is in fact made of glass. He just chooses not to hide it behind an eye-patch anymore, unlike when he was her age.]

[ She cautiously peers closer into the screen, as if it'll give her a better view of his eye. Sure enough, she can at least recognize that it's false.

And oh, the tales her mind is spinning right now to explain that. ]

[One could even say the same about knowing the secrets of his own--I mean.

Danny hums a bit in consideration deciding how best to explain this story in a while she'll understand.]

Well you see, when I was born, I was missing my right eye. Instead I had this empty void... I guess you could say I was cursed from birth to have this black hole that needed to be hidden away from the world? So I used to have an eye-patch similar to yours, until I was able to find a replacement eye that was able to keep it from causing potential problems for me and others around me.

An empty void... Was it full of dark power? Can you use magic? Does it allow you to see the invisible boundary lines?

[ she can't hope to come close to anything as cool as being born with an empty void, so it's with a little bit of shame that she shares her fake tragic backstory ]

I saw the Dark Flame Master practicing his own techniques and was visited by revelations about my own potential. I entered into a contract with the Wicked Lord Shingan to receive my own powers. I have no knowledge of his true origin, even as he sleeps within this eye.

There are some things I've been able to notice that others don't... but quite honestly, I think it's too dangerous to try to actually use whatever kind of power it might have. Even just seeing it without this glass eye of mine to hide it tends to frighten people, so I think it would be best not to risk it.

[Namely, he used to get beaten up a lot by other children for missing an eye, among... other things that ended up happening within his family because of it, but it's probably best not to talk about that sort of thing here in the midst of entertaining some teenage girl.]

So what kind of powers did this contract grant you, then? If you are allowed to talk about them, that is.

People should tremble in awe, not in fear, at that eye of yours! [ It's as close as she's ever been able to get to comfort someone, okay, she doesn't do this very often. ] I can do many things; to start listing them off would take time we do not have.

Ahhh! Forgive me, fellow disciple of great power, I am not used to the changes this world has forced upon my body.

Don't worry, I understand. This world is certainly quite strange and unpredictable in comparison to what either of us are used to, I'd imagine.

[He knows he certainly hates whatever these moon cycles decide to suddenly throw of him, it's bad enough he has to deal with his awful vision, adding animal parts too is just overkill.]
