I don't know how many people knew her, but Catra is gone.

[ Adora can't even pretend to be neutral on the matter. The blonde looks like she can't decide if she wants to punch something or sulk.

The former Horde soldier in her says the former, and that's the one winning out today.

They'd been making progress. The fact that the former best friends had been able to be around each other at all without getting into a fight that leveled everything around them was a miracle. And now Catra was gone, like some greater power was bound and determined to keep them at each other's throats. ]

I haven't actually talked on here before. My name is Adora. I'm She-Ra, if anyone here knows what or who that is. I'm not only posting about Catra, but I was also... I'm looking for someone to spar with. Maybe a couple of someones.

The only thing is, there's this whole She-ra thing... [ With a sheepish smile, Adora raises her sword. With a call of "For the honor of Grayskull!" there's a flash of light, and suddenly someone much larger is standing in Adora's place. ]

Not to brag, but I'm pretty strong like this, so... You need to really, really be able to take a hit. I usually use my sword, but my hand-to-hand could use some brushing up too.

[ Glimmer and Bow probably wouldn't approve of her working out her feelings with her fists instead of addressing them but??? ]

It's a sword. It's called the Sword of Protection. It's powered by a runestone.

[ Should she mention she's a Princess? Do they have Princesses here? ]

A good name. [A little on the nose, maybe, but he likes the intent behind it (He assumes, anyway, that she had named it as Divine Weapons are where he's from)]

What is a runestone?

[Because he's never heard of such a thing.]

So it's like this gem that Princesses have that gives them their powers. In this case, it provides the magic that powers the sword.

And...all princesses have a runestone like this?

[Tifa knows a little about the sudden hurt that comes when a loved one disappears from this place.]

[Sympathetic as she is, it's actually the rest of Adora's message that peaks her interest. Especially once she sees that transformation.]

I wouldn't mind sparring with you. Martial Arts is my weapon of choice, so I can give you some pointers on hand-to-hand. But I don't mind if you want to use your fancy sword.

Or maybe I'll be giving you some.

[ it's 80% playful, 20% pride, but there's no way Adora was actually going to pass up a chance to learn and improve. ]

No sword is fine. Where did you want to meet?

[She shrugs, smile widening.]

I know a gym that has a lot of room for this sort of thing.

I'm free this afternoon if you want to get started right away.

The sooner the better for sure.

[ More time for punching means better processing emotions, right? Definitely. ]

It's possible that I could match your strength and durability, but we would have to test something first.

What would we need to test?

[ There's wariness in her tone that she can't help. Too many times being someone's project. ]

All we would have to do is shake hands.

[He elaborates a moment later.]

I have the ability to copy the powers of people I touch for a limited time. However, with people coming from so many worlds, it's not guaranteed that it would work. I would know just from a handshake, though. Or a high five.

[ That gives Adora pause.

She-Ra was powerful. Planet-Protector powerful. Could she really risk giving that power to a stranger, even for a short time? ]

How long is the time limit?

Ten minutes after the last point of physical contact.

Have you tried it before? Copying someone's powers here. She-Ra's power is kind of a lot, and it might be risky for you.

[ It'd be really good for training, though. ]

So far, copying people's powers has been successful whenever I've tried it. As for the risks...I'm prepared for that. I've had this power since I was a small child, and I come from a world where roughly eighty percent of the population has some sort of power.

...Alright, I'm willing to try. But just so you know, I'm not even sure if it is copyable.

Where should we meet?

If it can't be copied, then the worst thing that happens is that I can't be your sparring partner in your stronger form.

[Nothing ventured, nothing gained.]

How about in the grove? Then there's a wide open area for sparring if I do copy you.

What? That can't be right. [ The feed comes on and shows Entrapta's hair tapping through her device to get to the directory to check for Catra. ] No, wait, I see it now.

[ Her face is indiscernible with the welding mask on. She seems almost frozen in place, in her thoughts. That is until she takes notice of the change and the mask flips up to show her smiling face. ]

Ahh! You have the Sword of Protection!

[ So many things at once and her overclocked brain's never been happier. Why does it feel like she's forgetting something?

Oh. Right. ]

Hi Adora. [ A wave from a hair-hand. ]

[ give her a second her brain's stalled. ]

Entrapta?! When did you get here?

25, 24...? No, definitely 25 days ago. [ Thank you personal logs. ] In time for the native inhabitant's festival at Nevei Forest.

[ She can't contain her excitement and plops her chin in the awaiting hands of hair. ]

Isn't this exciting?! We're actually out in the universe now.

25-- Where have you been hiding for 25 days? I didn't see you at all!

[ And Entrapta was very distinct, even here. ]

I was building bots like the friends I created in Dryl. Oh, and doing research on this planet and the Moonblessed. It's so fascinating!

[ re: Entrapta's still a bit of a shut-in. ]

Which moon is influencing you? Does it affect you when you're She-Ra? If so, are you able to conduct moonlacing? I have so many questions! Maybe even answers!

[ No, she can't get any closer to the screen. ]

[Rin has experienced that so many times he's honestly kind of numb to it, but he can understand how she's feeling.]

[ she's getting so many sparring partners...this was a great idea, as nervous as talking on camera made her. ]

Uhhh. Sword? I don't... actually know what melee is...

Sorry, hand to hand. But sword works even better.

[A pause, then said with true empathy.]

Thanks. It's... [ Not okay. It won't ever be okay, the way this kind of thing keeps happening to them, but.

And Adora leaves the sentence hanging there because haha what is dealing with things right-- ]

Anyway, yeah, I'll fight you! Do you prefer sword or hand to hand?

Are you kidding?? You have an awesome magic sword that turns you into something stronger and more powerful! I might not need to hold back with you!! We're totally going sword to Keyblade!

[ It's a feeling he can really relate to right now. Which is his main reason for not scrolling past the post like he usually does.

i can fight with magic. but i usually fight with my keyblades. do you know what that is/

My armor is self repairing. You can hit as hard as you'd like.

[[Because yeah, he gets it. He's a pro at fighting out feelings instead of actually dealing with them, and being able to cut lose safely likely would help far more than any words he could offer.]]

I fight with an electrified staff and, uh... acrobatics. I totally get wanting to keep your skills sharp, though. I can take more than a few hits. I've been through... quite a lot.
